you should probably mention that if you get around a +45% cooldown, you can time it so that the pylon resupplies right before your cooldown ends. This gives you the maximum amount of grenades, about 4 every 18 seconds.

Taking radius/split homing grenades and using them to set off area tech bursts from the arc grenades is also a viable option.

I find that playing with the Demogirl is pure ecstasy in every engagement. Demogirl makes me pound the joystick with fervor until the moment of extraction.

How would you play her differently from the male quarian engineer? To me it seems rather pointless to pick her opposed to the MQE now with all the "new" cover busters enemies.
I mean, if I need to keep moving from ammo box to ammo box spamming grenades at least the MQE offers lv 12 fire explosions, more shields and a debuff power with only the loss of some passive power damage (20%).

We play her because we don't always pick the "best kit". Oh, male Quarians are disgusting too.

Because she is completely cooldown independent, can restock her grenades at an increased rate, make the ammo situation of Hazard Dagger less lame.. and is a totally badass melee kit.  She also has a great dodge, and above average base shields. Homing Grenades wreck boss armor every bit as good as 12/12 fire explosions, smash lolGoons and Bombers too. 

She has quite a bit going for her.

What shotgun would you suggest for a melee build? Venom? Crusader?

The melee Demogirl rocks.. skip Homing Nades, full melee fitness, pack a killer shotgun with Omni-Blade (I like Crusader). Hit a mook with an Arc nade, shield strip, stagger, run up and smash the crap out of their face and send 'em flying. It also gives you 30% more power damage for 20 seconds.

I go cyclonic, grenade capacity, strength enhancer, and whatever anti armor ammo you want. I go drill.. but AP or Incendiary for FEs work too. I spec the grenades for shield overload, and let the weapon take care of the armor. Passives for full power damage.. I don't feel the need for a power amp bc with full power passives and melee synergy kicking, that's 95% power damage. Arc Nade/melee OSKs gold Phantoms.. Pyros and (I think) Possessed Captains are the only mooks who can survive the nade/melee combo.. so they get the nade/light melee combo instead, and that drops them.

I think while the Demolisher can suck with a shotgun, she could also handle it efficiently as well.  And really, the fun is in the learning.
