I did atleaset 50 hours worth of sidequests in mass effect and im wondering if that gives me any bonuses or special sidequests or interactions in mass effect 2.

We'll have to wait and see. However some of the side quests probably get carried over. Garrus', Wrex's and Tali's side quests are most likely to carry over. Asari Diplomacy has a storyline effect, the one with Nassana Dantius.

im talking about when carrying over save games from mass effect 1 and having done many quests in part 1

Don't get your hopes up. If BDtS decisions aren't even going to carry over to ME2, very little else also will be.

There are almost 100 things that carry over. Many of them are sidequests. There were really probably less then 10 hours worth of sidequests in ME1 anyways.



BDtS is a bad example, because many people didn't play that at all.

I expect a fair few side quests to carry over,But I swear if I get to the end of ME2 and have people die despite my efforts to protect them because of desicions in ME1 i'm throwing a certain console across the room

I very much doubt that will be the case. It's going to be hard enough to keep everyone alive as it is.

This is one of ME2's main selling points. We've been told that a lot of the side quests in ME1 will have some affect on ME2.
