@ Han First Shot

I don't give a crap if the Asari founded the council or not they ****ed up by not revealing the artifact. They did that so they could retain their number one ranking. That's all they cared about. But when the reapers threaten their homeworld they cry like little babies and realize that it might help if they mention the artifact. The galaxy will learn of their treachery and would at a minimum want them off the council.

As far as them being sucessful during the war, how sucessful would they of being had the reapers went after Thessia and its colonies first instead of Earth?

Don't make excuses for the Destiny Ascension. The maximum effective range of an excuse is zero. I'm sure you learned that being in the military. Doesn't matter if the Destiny Ascension was being ganged up or not it made no effort in firing back.

Your example of the Bismarck is not a good one. Yes the Bismarck was defeated, but it was able to use their cannons to fire back whereas the Destiny Ascension failed to fire back at all

I think the chance of the Asari not being on the Council in any sequel setting is nil.

Hackett not making that demand is precisely the sort of policy that will encourage a breakup of the Alliance.

I think you've got that backwards.

If the Alliance does not enforce authority over the countries and how they distribute resources, the countries will.

This was the pre-war situation and it worked fine.  The war didn't change the agreement between the people of Earth and the Alliance itself.  Trying to alter that agreement by force will ensure the Alliance's downfall because, at the end of the day, the nations of Earth and Earth's colonies control the funding.  If the Alliance steps out of line, it gets cut off, period, the end.  If the Alliance doesn't like getting cut off, they have the option of trying to take it by force, but remember that Earth still has its national militaries and they're not necessarily weak themselves.  Certainly, the Alliance would lose ALL legitimacy if it defied the will of the people in so brazen a manner, not to mention that there would simply be no support for ANOTHER war.

paragon wise post me verse would be very peaceful. i think they're would be many to join the council races.

i think they're is still place for the asari in the council. they may have kept secrets from the rest of the council but that's probably redeemed by the fact that one of their own discovered the plans for the crucible. liara did discover the crucible and thats a good save and pass.

most races specially the big 3 salarians, turians and humans look past the asari greed and see the asari's better qualities like focusing on peaceful diplomacy. may not be useful against a war with mindless rachni or reapers. but what comes after is most important the peaceful times.

The national militaries wouldn't be able to do a great amount against the Alliance, because the alliance controls space.

Though on the other hand, telling the Alliance fleet to bombard Earth is probably a good way to get a mutiny.
