I am entirely ignorant as to the themes found within the Witcher, but I saw someone mention both sexism and homophobia as negative points? How are those topics addressed within the game?

That is perhaps the most famous example.

Another is how Geralt sleeps with practically every female he meets, and how they're usually naked, but Geralt himself always at least has pants on, on-screen.

I don't remember homophobia in particular... Is that a reference to Dethmold and Phillipa?

So lately I was at the Witcher Forums and noticed that most (if not all) of the users there don't like Dragon Age
They find it immature in comparison to The Witcher and view the latter as much more superior in every way(story, gameplay...)

So what do you think about The Witcher? Do you feel exactly the opposite? Or do you agree with them?
In my opinion both game franchises are awesome and I'm looking forward to both of them
but apparently many think that you can't be a fan of both of them

Comparing the first games I prefer Origins over TW1tbh , but love both.
But comparing the second games TW2 absolutely destroys DA2 I must say.

Is there something wrong with Geralt being a playa?

Man, I don't think I could ever tell such a blatant lie with a straight face, how do you do it?

As a general rule, the mods disapprove of threads comparing the Witcher series to DA (with good reason as they never go anywhere good).

On topic - I haven't played TW, I did play TW2 and found the story enjoyable (especially since the second half differed totally depending on the 'critical' choice made at the end of the first half). The art was very good (in my opinion) but from there on, they lost me. The voice acting was not that great, the combat was (in my opinion) almost unplayable beyond button mashing and Geralt (in my opinion) has to be one of - if not the - most unlikeable game protagonist I have ever encountered.

I may get TW3, but it'll be down the road a ways once it drops in price.

I think his only criteria is it has to be female.

It's too bad that Geralt is heterosexual. This obvious character flaw cannot be ignored. Geralt being heterosexual and choosing to sleep with females is so wrong, especially when it's never  the player who makes him have said sex with these women, because the game does. This is obviously Geralt's fault then, and he is sexist. I also like how the game forces us to see through all of the female npcs' clothes, because it does that too apparently.

The Witcher *does* feel more like A Song of Ice and Fire, but it doesn't make it the superior game.

But to hell with it! Folks over the CDPR forums hate BioWare. You can't talk about their games without a bunch of pompous a-holes giving you fancy lectures on how much better their game is over yours.

In TW yes, which is a major flaw in the game, but in TW2? Not at all, so stop spreading lies.

Also there is no homophoobia at all in TW or TW2.

It's the cards themselves. And the creepy ass 'collect them all' vibe. You know this. I know this. We all know this.

Yes, it's a major flaw, a flawt hat does not exsist in TW2.

Witcher 3 is going to stomp Inquisition so hard it isn't funny, DA:I is going to be another generic save the world game with outright useless and annoying companions like DAO and DA2, i doubt i could stand even spending 5 mins listening to them again.

You're dealing with someone who thinks having a healthy male libido is "wrong". It's par for the course.

Oooo fandom wars. Well since I've played all the Dragon Age and Witcher games to date, I feel justified in predicting that Persona 5 will likely be my personal favorite upcoming game.
