I am entirely ignorant as to the themes found within the Witcher, but I saw someone mention both sexism and homophobia as negative points? How are those topics addressed within the game?

Miles ahead of the 12+ sex scenes from bioware. Bioware should do  it the right way (their games are 18+) or not do it at all. The sex cards in witcher 1 were just silly but at least Cd Project Red improved, while biowares love scenes are getting worse every game since mass effect 1.

CDp moved from stupid sex cards to horribly done animated sex scenes that just shows boobies.

how are the scenes "horribly" animated?

Geralt DOES get led down the Garden path and bluntly refused by a woman at least once, tho.

Some random woman in the expensive part of town in TW 1.  Not Shianni or Triss.  She wore white.

Can't win it every time:blush:

Thing is, the witcher always came off as seriously immature. It's filled to the brim with fan-service, and the story comes off as pretty generic. It's not a bad series, but considering it vastly superior is probably a forum-fad, since only the truly hardcore or really bored go on game forums. Well, and people with questions, but they aren't the ones participating in that sort of thread.

Wow... that's not only the most intelligent thing I've seen you post (one of the few :P), but it's also the most perceptive comment anyone's ever made about forums.

Only hardcore TW fans would say that the series is superior to the DA series (which it's obviously not) in most everyway.

How was your experience with the Witcher then and exactly how would you compare the features as far as pros and cons go then Orian?

Wow, you went for my side comment, which was in parenthases, rather than commenting on the subject of my post - which was about forums.

Also, you missed my first post here.

I don't see how that's different from DA

Yup. Bioware is just as guilty, don't get me started on ME series with it's cameltoes, ass shots and other whatnot.

The majority of sex scenes in gaming are horribly animated because they don't properly portray intimacy. Sex scenes in particular are rife with Uncanny Valley, bad choreography and robotic animations. Witcher 2 is just one of many examples.

I like them both for different reasons, though I have to admit I'm excited for TW3 more. I still can't fully trust EA/Bioware, DA:I might be a good game, but it'll probably be full of microtransactions and awful DRM. Plus there's no toolset -_-

And I really like TW3's artstyle, it gives off a very "historical" vibe, as compared to DA:I's "MOAR COLOUR EVERYWHERE" one.

Ah.  Sorry about missing your first comment (Saw it, but didn't remember your name).  As for the side comment, that's the part I was interested in rather than some perception on forums.
