Thought I'd make a thread where Sherlok fans can discuss the show.

Speaking of which, I've only just found out that Season 3 has recently started. I'm going to watch the first episode of it right now.

THERE WAS NO SHERLOCK THREAD?!?!?!

Okay, but if you're making one, please include a picture and perhaps a short description of the show?

As for the show itself, I've watched it since series one. Incidentally, I also have ITV's complete Sherlock Holmes' series with Jeremy Brett (which is also amazing so go and buy it NOW!!!). Naturally, they're quite different since "Sherlock" is a modern take on Doyle's stories and has been consistently good as a matter of fact. Perhaps this shouldn't come as a surprise since British TV is top notch for the most part. The actors are great, the music fits the show like a glove, and the stories are always intriguing, though some deliver better than others (Baserkville, I'm looking at you!). My favourite episode so far has to be the first one of series 2, featuring none other than Irene Adler.

After all...

I'm thinking about checking it out. It at least looks better than the Lucy Liu version. Watson as a girl? SRSLY M8?

Elementary's entertaining enough but there's only one Sherlock.

Although, Elementary has Natalie Dormer...

This is the age of the Internet. People can look up the show for themselves.

Anywho, I just watched the first episode and I LOVED IT!!! Even better than last season. The pacing was excellent, the comedy was well-done, the tension in the scenes when the situation was dire heart-pounding.

Kudos for them making fun of the Watson mustache.

Sherlock is sensational television - I do hope we get a 4th season. As for Elementary, I couldn't be less interested.

I think that the final episode of season 3 was kinda poor at some points (No spoilers for now). I still enjoyed the season but they better explain how sherlock lived next season. I also adored the pisstake of sherlocks fanbase and their crazy theories.

I save most of my Sherlock discussion energy for the Sherlock fan forum, HOWEVER if there is a Sherlock thread here...I have to say something!!! :D It is my absolute FAVOURITE SHOW EVER!!!  I love the new series, I love the previous two, excellent writing and directing, brilliant acting...just plain amazing. I've been a Sherlock Holmes fan since I was 5, and BBC Sherlock is my favourite Sherlock Holmes adaptation so far! ^_^<3

Season 2 was better imo (it's hard to top really), but episode 2 was absolutely lovely.

Have you watched Jeremy Brett's? It's a classic.

Oh yes, until BBC Sherlock Jeremy Brett was my favourite Sherlock Holmes. And even now he is still a very, very, VERY close second to Benedict Cumberbatch's. Even though the BBC Sherlock is my favourite Sherlock, there is something so...perfect about Jeremy Bretts Holmes that is unsurpassed. :)

Season 3 was great but the second episode inspired a mixed reaction in me (and to many others apparently). I loved the twists too. I think the first episode was the best for this season mainly due the bits of comedy that were thrown in especially with Shelock's fan club (lol) hypothesizing the ways he survived his apparent death.

It's obvious the Shelock fan club is a bash at the real fans which was a nice touch in my opinion. Any show taking the mick out of some more of their dedicated fans is okay IMO. Now if only Doctor Who and Supernatural followed with this...

This Sherlock doesn't even happen in late-19th/early-20th century. I don't know what to say...

Best Sherlock: Jeremy Brett

Big Bang Theory, NCIS, NCIS: LA, Person of Interest, Criminal Minds, CSI franchise, Elementary, Blue Bloods, Hawaii 5-O, and more are reasons I am a fan. As for Sherlock, still looking for critiques and awaiting it to go for free on Hulu.

There was a certain episode on Supernatural that depicted Dean and Sam as a gay couple. It was somewhere on Season 5, I think. Not sure though. Remember that episode where they became novel characters, then there was some kind of convention? That's the one.

I miss this show already. Too bad, we'll have to wait two more years for the fourth series.

That final episode was absolutely epic. Holy ****. I really thought Sherlock would be leaving John, probably for the last time. And to think he was only gone for - what? - four minutes? I especially loved all the twists of the final episode. The last was the best one.

Sherlock for me only got better during the three season.
Really well written characters who do stay true to the original books but brought into this time and age.

The last episode of this season had me on the tip of my seat. Now the wait for next season has begun...has he really returned or is this another twist?
