Sherlock for me only got better during the three season.
Really well written characters who do stay true to the original books but brought into this time and age.
The last episode of this season had me on the tip of my seat. Now the wait for next season has begun...has he really returned or is this another twist?
I would definitely agree that Season 3 is the best season so far, although I've heard many people say that they're disappointed with the fact that they didn't explain how Sherlock survived. I didn't really mind. I didn't think how he survived was really all that important; what mattered was that he's alive.
Edit: Actually, I think his last explanation of how he survived was indeed the correct one.
