I'm curious...how do you feel about Sten?  

thought the question is not aim at me, i'll say i can't stand STEN,
i took him on my first playthrought but rarely used him because of his mood,  and because i was focusing on my main team (alistair , zevran, léliana),
so i saved him for my second play believing there was a reason (possession....) why he would kill the familly that nursed him back to health,  but no he just did it out of rage and twisted honor.
ever since i let him rot in his cage.

tallis on the other hand is sunny and funny, has a unique skill tree. so yeah she uses you but she does so with such a tease that thought you won't forget you can live with

so would really like her as a companion, would still not blindly trust her concerning qunari matters but with my life, yes

does the da/tallis web serie set after da2?

For me, its simple.   Shes a HUGE hypocrite for one thing.  She is constantly preaching the Qun and yet almost every action she does defies it.    Yet, some how the Qun, known for its complete intolerance to individuality is some how tolerant of this very "in-your-face" individual.  

It such an extreme case of writer's plot armor wrapped around her that she can do no wrong despite living in complete contrast to what she espouses to believe.

The only way I would like to see Tallis show up is if the Inquisitor rescues a qunari slave labor group and Tallis is among them with her brain finally wiped by the Qunari for her constant "heresy".

This post is a very good explanation as to why I and other fans find her character to be quite interesting. Yes, she may be a hypocrite. But that's how she is. Tallis is not perfect by any means, whatever some people may think of her. 

And the Qunari did take notice of her defiance, she was demoted from being Tallis to a common worker several times. But they won't brainwash someone of her talents, at least not until she does something drastic, since the Qunari waste no one.

It is far more likely that she'll be sent for re-education in the end or else Tallis will break free and become Tal Vashoth.

The best thing that can be said about Tallis and her involvement in MotA is that at least she is optional for part of the story.

I would have no difficulty with her reappearance, even as a companion, if the following conditions are met:
*She is no more talented/special that the other companions
*Her inclusion in the party is strictly voluntary and she can be left at camp like any other companion
*There is a "shut up" dialogue option
