If I were arguing that Hale is better because I think she's _____ then you'd have an argument. I'm not even using my own opinion as to why she's better anymore. All I'm saying is, to discern if an actor, any actor is a good actor, you need to critique their work with the critiquing method for that type of work, not inject your own opinion.
Well, you have an opinion about what would make an argument, but that doesn't magically make it fact. And I'm saying you can't realistically keep your opinion out of any critiquing method. It's a subjective matter. I've witnessed it, very often. As I mentioned before.
Haha, that made me laugh. Critiquing without personal opinion! Even if you are judging by a list of traits, you still use personal opinion as to what that list is, and then use opinion again to judge if they fufill that list. If you thought that the traits required for each role being cast is derived from hard science, you're deluded. There are no facts.
Maybe the criteria Bioware made when looking for the voice actors for Shepard was souniding tough, calm, collected, like leader. All of these are opnions as to what Shepard should sound like to begin with.
They picked Hale and Meer. It is opnion again that picks them as the best suited to the roles.
None of that is fact, maybe the would have been an overwhelming majority that Shepard needed to sound tough for example but that doesn't make it fact, not does a majority thinking Meer was best for the role. It is still opinion even if it is a widely held opinion.
And for us to be discussing who is better at meeting the critiera, it's still our opinion. Just because you think Hale performs better doesn't make it fact.
I think Hale over emotes so to my ears if judging by the examples of criteria I listed before, she doesn't meet that as well as Meer does. You can't say that my opinion is not valid. Even if the majority decide Hale, for example, meets the criteria better than Meer, it still isn't fact, it is simply a popular opinion and that is as close to fact you can get in the arts.
