She will probably be used as bait later int he game, or perhaps even in Mass Effect 3. Ill get a tantalizing look as I am about to rescue her, but then she get's kidnapped by the reaper/some enemy again.

The little stinging insect things don't kill. They paralyze. All the colonists are taken alive to be experimented upon. Shep will most likely rescue Ash from wherever the colonists are being kept.

Thats what Reapers do. How the hell is it far fetched? Not only that, but it is the logical thing to do. You start off your minion collection, and you have something to use against Shepherd. The only one who really seems focused on stopping you.

Your LI from ME1 gets taken by the collectors and you end up saving them from the collectors (if you want to). Works for both parties here, and makes sense storywise.



BioWare doesn't have to go too crazy fleshing out more love plots with your ME1 LI but you can still feel like your continuing the relationship 'cause you're rescuing you're ME1 LI. Then there can be a whole reunion moment thing, they makeout and have hot steamy "thank you for rescuing me sex", and yada yada yada, everyones happy.

That would be pretty intense, and they would majorly not be left out of the story, I wouldn't mind that, though accidentally killing them would be an epic fail.

What if you have to choose between freeing your loved one, or completing the mission? I don't think this is going to end alright. Not in this game. I expect only a small appearance from the ME1 LI's in this game.

lmao at people worrying about cheating...first of all its a game, second there was no ritual of exclusivity or marriage going on. Ashley is dead in my save file, Kaidan will get captured. i banged Liara, and i'm going after Miranda.

It definitely looks like Ash to me, but I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that she's dead based upon the trailer footage, assuming you didn't sacrifice her instead of Carth in ME1 that is.

While the female in question is wearing Ashley's default armor, I thought that she was lacking Ashley's tan and therefor isn't actually Ashley at all,but some other Alliance soldier. Oh well,I look forward to finding out the truth once I get the game.

I don't think it'd be completely fail the mission or let them die, because then saying they're still going to be around would be incorrect, because either you wouldn't be, or they wouldn't be.  I'm enough of a Kaidan freak to kill every single one of my squadmates in ME2 to save him, but if I'm gonna die too... what's the point?

That's clearly Ashley. Same armor, same hair, and she is tanned.
