Your LI from ME1 gets taken by the collectors and you end up saving them from the collectors (if you want to). Works for both parties here, and makes sense storywise.

BioWare doesn't have to go too crazy fleshing out more love plots with your ME1 LI but you can still feel like your continuing the relationship 'cause you're rescuing you're ME1 LI. Then there can be a whole reunion moment thing, they makeout and have hot steamy "thank you for rescuing me sex", and yada yada yada, everyones happy.

My opinion as well.

I very sincerely hope you guys are right!!!  If they are still captured at the end of ME1 I will be very upset.  But if the collectors have them, you would have to save them at the very least at the end, unless you decided to be friends with the collectors and then remember halfway back to the Citadel you forgot them?

She won't die. Shepard won't allow it. PLus they said the LIs are lasting to ME3 at least.

I agree with those who think that Shepard will have to rescue Ashely from the collectors but I see a potential twist. Perhaps Ashley will have to be rescued on the suicide mission and Shepard will be placed in a position where he has to chose between Ashley and one of the Mass Effect 2 squad mates. Seems like the kind of thing that Bioware would do.  Only thing that makes me think that they would not do this is that have already gone this route and may not want to repeat it.

She doesn't die She's just knocked unconscious. And then abducted by the collectors, to unknown ends.



But it's been guaranteed that she won't die.

I assume she won't die, so that means at least some of the captured colonists can be rescued.

i doubt Ashley dies...if we go after what Bioware said..especially those who romanced her.And i also doubt they will make us chose between her and ME2 squadmates...that would be going back on their words..that..1)LI survive and 2)u can save all squad members in the suicide mission

Gathering from the other trailers where we see what seems to be a captured human being melted in some tube. Im guessing that the survivors are taken to be harvested. There will be without a doubt in my mind a mission to go save Ash with a huge choice in the end. ie save ash, lose someone else or fail a mission.

I'm wondering whether we will be able to save Ashley during the course of ME2 or if it's part of the darker theme that she is deemed lost until ME3 (like Han Solo in EP5 of Star Wars)...

If you check another trailer yu will see that ashley takes out a bug after she has been bitten and does not fall asleep like the colonists.

She gets bit but doesnt fall asleep. Perhaps this lil scene is the very first time you encounter the collectors. she retreats back to the normandy and then the normany gets attacked.

maybe she took bug off before it effected her but she wont in my game anyways..if kaiden gets taken my shepard ifs gonna be really mad and a renegade earthborn/ruthless soldier is not someone u wanna ****** off. Like they hell has no furry like a woman's scorn.

You heard it here, folks.  All furries go to heaven!

I agree that it's silly to assume that she's dead, though I do think she probably gets taken with the colonists.

Fight for the Lost, remember?  This whole thing is ultimately a colonist rescue mission.
