Recently, I went back on a PW I used to play and went into dungeon where my character summons a dire tiger (summon creature VI - vfx: VFX_FNF_SUMMON_MONSTER_2) and it was crashing continuously, not always but very very often, like 80% cases

tried it in clean new module, still crashed, tried to empty override, patch folder and uninstall community patch, nothing helped

since I hadnt this problem before I tried also install new graphic drivers and when it didnt helped then I tried to downgrade the video settings in game, and for a while it look like it helped but fifth cast it crashed again.

So Im clueless, searched omnibus but no mention about this and as I said I had no problems with this in past (when I was running XP on lowest graphic settings)

My setup is:
Win7 32b
Nvidia Geforce GT9800+ latest drivers (that is 332.21)

Has anyone encountered the same issue?

have you isolated the source of the problem? is it just he VFX? Just the creature model? could it be something else that happens when you do a summon?

its VFX for sure

I just made a test module, just open it ingame and use a lever. Then tell me result :)

Link for test module

EDIT: performed the test on my older laptop with windows XP and integrated nvidia graphic card and old drivers without problem

no problem for me, but DAMN I thought it would stop eventually. I'm running XP through crossover on Ubuntu and have an Nvidia gfx card.

Thanks for trying that, unfortunately for me thats getting more and more weird.

Tried to downgrade graphic drivers but with no avail. Then I tried to change resolution and found interesting discovery, as soon as I change the graphic resolution (even when I change it back) it wont crash. Maybe I should mention im running windowed mode, because it seems it doesnt crash in fullscreen (unless I press the lever four times at once hehe). Now trying changing windows themes but it doesnt seem to be related...

Runs fine in window mode on my system. I'm 8.1 with latest nVidia drivers over a GT-260.

I think I fixed it. Downloaded Realtek HD audio driver and it doenst crashes anymore. Till now I had the default microsoft driver.
