Why don't more adults watch kiddie cartoons? I.E. Legend of Korra, Clone Wars, Young Justice, Adventure Time...

They're more than just simple and predictable children's shows. What's the hold up?

You could likely make the same statement over the last 50 years(and beyond) regarding animations from Disney, WB, etc.

Even if something is directed toward a particular audience(in this case teens and below), the writing/humor/etc. can hold appeal toward adults. Adults are just children grown up, anyways.

As far as predictability, it depends on the show. Not all stories put in a child-aimed setting are written equally.

I don't really care who something was intended for, if I find it entertaining then I find it entertaining and I'll watch it.

As to why I find it entertaining, that'd vary based on whatever it was.

Why are you being so judgmental about other people's viewing habits, and why do you even care?

Are you that culture shocked?

Stole the words right out of my mouth.

Why do some people like the horror genre and slasher flicks? They're just over the top violence and predictable as well. Sometimes if you can just go with a concept, you will have fun, but that comes down to personal prefrence.

That's the root word.

A lot of the times, they aren't simple

I'll leave it to people to articulate that more than I

Cuz maybe they're better than "How I met your mother" or "GoT" in their point of view.

I actually like to watch things with my brother and others and don't want "inconvenient & embarrassing" stuff in my series.

It also depends. Whats written with purely children in mind as compared to whats written with families/anyone in mind?

Kids would be what, Strawberry Shortcake? Bob The Builder?

Families/Anyone would be what, Friendship is Magic? Disney/Pixar flicks?

Why an adult playing games? Games are for kids.

Kiddie is the LAST thing I would call Adventure time,
Clone Wars (Both Miniseries and Tv show) is more grown up and frankly better than the Star Wars movies,
and Last Airbender and Korra has some of the best mythology seen in a long time.
But going into further detail would involve more typing and I'm too bored for that.

But here's a good example.
TorchWood is more mature and adult than Doctor Who, but it's not even remotely close to being better.

It has a stickied thread, I figured I'd leave it alone. Plus I've never seen it, so can't really say anything about it.
