I hgave watched Korra. Not recently though.

Haven't watched any of the others the OP mentioned.

I have watched DBZ, Naruto, X-Men, Spider Man , the more adult stuff, stuff like young justice doesn't appeal to me as I regard it as too soft.

You have to specify the Spider-Man series.
Because Ultimate Spider-man makes that your statement invalid for several raisins, same for the 90s series Unlimited aside.
Young Justice I haven't watched but I do have friends who told me it was pretty good, and a mature show, you may be confusing it for Teen Titans Go! (Not The original Teen Titans, the chibi spin-off. Teen Titans was awesome)
Also, is no onegoing to talk about Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes? srsly? That was a great series killed off far too soon.

I've never watched ultimate spiderman so my statement is entirtely valid.Rotfl.

I don't like the soft stuff.

I watched Robotech when it first came on here in the US.

I liked it.

I liked the original Xmen when it first came on television.

Let see what else came on back in the day.

The Inhumanoids

Skycommanders
Johnny Quest
Ironman
Superman
Cartoons in the 70's and 80's.

Not a fan of most of the current stuff.

You don't know me clone, as you just prove:lol:d.

This is literally the first time I've ever talked to you.
So how would I know anything? :P

And EMH was cancelled because despite it being a good mix of the comics and movies, Disney wanted a show that catered more to the films and could cross over with the abomination known as Ultimate Spider-man.
So I can blame Disney for cancelling Spectacular Spider-man, EMH, and Clone Wars. Yay.

Young Justice.

Where existentialist questions of whether a person is their own person at birth or if they can become their own individual and if a clone can ever be anything other then a copy are brought up routinely as nature vs nurture and a fear of expressing true intentions for fear of being seen as defective clash in an internal struggle of self actualization and identity building.

In other words, a show for kiddies.

Then don't make assumptions.

As for Disney, I worry about Starwars and their decisions regarding that, but we'll see.

We can throw the Wing Commander cartoons in there too.I loved those.:wizard:

I was joking. Forgot that doesn't translate into text well :P

Disney owning Star Wars can go either way. It's really too early to tell, we'll have to wait until 2015 when Episode 7 comes out.

Young Justice was never kids show and most of the shows mentioned here are family shows.

That said, Young Justice had a human supremacy group plot that makes the ME series look like 80s saturday morning cartoon.

Last year I accidently stumbled across the pilot episode of 'Young Justice' and I immediatly became hooked. As a 34 year old man I felt enormously stupid and guilty for tuning in to the Cartoon Network on a weekly basis to get my Young Justice fix but the sad reality is that Young Justice was ( r.i.p. ) a better show than 70 to 80% of the the 'more adult' shows that they show on prime time television.

Have you watched any of these shows yourself? If not then you have no place to judge, the likes of Avatar, The Legend of Korra, Clone Wars and Young Justice all have very solid writing, carefully planed out story arcs, great charcter development and they also deal with surprisingly adult themes and storlines.

This. Also, I don't ****ing care about people's opinions on what I like and don't.

Lol. He totes did that just to be a contrarian towards what I said. He wouldn't be in the anime/manga thread asking for suggestions on anime to watch if he was actually taking up this opposite position. That'd be like me asking what good cartoons are there to watch on Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon when I just said I don't care for most of it. If I don't care I'm not gonna look for it.

Why is there always drama when it comes to anime/cartoons? If you have any personal integrity, you don't have to justify your likes to anyone. We all come here to talk about nerdy ****, so no one has the right to judge.

In the 60's and 70's I watched Bugs Bunny a lot. From time to time I still watch Bugs Bunny The cartoons of today are not appealing at all.

It might depend on what you're looking at. I find most USA/North American animated shows to be wholly uninteresting but anime is pretty freaking sweet.

On the contrary I find most Japanese animated shows to be wholly disturbing and people who like them are quite psychopathic or perv. Only few anime series/movies are masterpieces and watch-worthy considering the huge number of anime out there. Even average CN series is better than Boob-show highschool anime series or insanity genre of anime that no sane person can have any sympathy with them.

@RedArmyShogun, you can purify your mind and lower your madness by stop watching these things. Maybe you find more success in RL afterwards.

If you take into account how many different series there are, then... yeah, the majority is probably bad. But how is that different from American television?

I mean, I used to dislike anime too, but this post is so close-minded that I'd like to believe you're trolling.

A combination of great animation/writing/setting/characters.

In general, I'd say Avatar: The Last Airbender and Korra are among my favorite tv series out there, simply from an entertainment perspective.

Yeah, occasionally The Last Airbender showed its child-like tendencies with issues like the inability to kill certain characters making some plot points predictable, but even that's gone down the drain as Legend of Korra has taken more freedom in killing characters as necessary.

My children will grow up like I did. Fat and without sex xD

Oh just kidding. If people took my crap as the gospel I'd be a 42 years old, overweight, a virgin and most importantly a ****...and a woman.

They don't watch it for the same reason they don't play video games I suppose. They listen to bull and will never outgrow their ageist agendas.

Simple and predictable? Have you ever watched Justice League (2001-2006)?

One word.

Batman

Yes, it's one word.

Just ask him.

Seriously though, the show is great!

First off, Star Wars: The Clone Wars isn't a kid's show; it's a show for all ages.

Secondly, it's one of the best shows out there and the best CGI animated show there is. The action scenes are brilliantly done, the animation is great, the characters are well-developed, and Anakin and Obi-Wan actually act like they're "good friends" rather than unwilling partners always at each other's throats like how the prequels portrayed them. You actually believe what Obi-Wan said in A New Hope about Anakin being "a good friend."

Make no mistake: Star Wars: The Clone Wars was an exceptional series.
