Hold up. Am I watching Miss "I can't be that callous!" busting a cap in someone's ass without so much as twitching an eye?Artifex_Imperius wrote...

I could be wrong, but I think Mac wrote a lot of Mars (including the VS dialogue). It could be Sylvia whats-her-name that wrote other bits (like Thessia). I think Mac has been desperately trying to make Liara as "callous" as Aria and other ME2 characters since he wrote her comics...

Every character is inconsistent. I wish people would realise that about all of them rather than just pick on liara for whatever reason.
"Pick on Liara"? Come on dude, it's not like I'm bullying some girl in grade school.
I'm merely picking on the writing/writers. Who are grown men and women in their 40s.

Fair enough,. Some people need to separate the two, though. People form grudges against the characters themselves, and take it upon themselves to punish them because of a bit of sloppy writing. Like that one tosser who insists on referring to her as "T'Soni."StreetMagic wrote...

For the record, I think her executing the two men trying to kill her is

mars was not the 1st mean face though. but in me2 she was a bit cold, killing her secretary well instead of just calling the cops. i mean was it really necessary to kill her.
but in me3 she did say "she would have done thesame thing the illusive man did.. ala sanctuary.

Very odd really.
Mind you, on the other side of the coin there are some very creepy threads and photos around.

Oh I don't know, from trawling through some of the archived posts on here (especially on the character forum) it is pretty much 'picking' on the character as if they were real.

Well, the character forum is before my time. I've heard bad stories all around though.

Wait, she says what? I've never played with her on Sanctuary.

I think John Dombrow wrote Thessia and all characters within the mission. Anyway, Liara has killed scores of people by the time you get to Mars in ME3. Why should she have a problem to shoot two cerberus goons who were trying to kill her? Now I have no doubt that she's become harder as a result of the events of ME1 and Redemption. But that's a far cry from believing that she's now a callous and calculating person.

Ah, so it's Dombrow. Well, at least he's moved on.
As for your question, to me, it's not about numbers or the act of killing. That doesn't bother me (it might bother others. Ask them, I guess). I just find the posturing and choreography in that scene funny. I'm looking more at what the dev/writer is trying to convey. How they want people to see Liara. I'm not analyzing Liara herself. Just the presentation. To me, they're trying too hard to make her look cool and brutal. When she's just not.

There are a lot more of my supposed "allies" in ME3 who I'd love to make suffer in various draconian methods than Leng.

And what's wrong with her being referred to as T'soni. Isn't that her name?
