As far as we know now the only thing that is non-canon at the moment is TFU, so constantly saying "the EU isn't canon" isn't an accurate statement

The EU is non-canon, officially.

This is from someone who works with the new Lucasfilm Story Group and he's quite influential.

So is Leland Chee

So you have two high ranking voices contridicting each other.

Reminds me of the good old days at Lucas arts! :D

And Leland Chee works with the same story-group. It was not just TFU that got axed. They've assembled a Lucasfilm Story Group and everything will be affected. Pablo Hidalgo and Leland Chee's job is to decide what's canon and non-canon from here on forward. That's right, there's a new EU. That's right, there's a new EU. The old EU is basically being left behind.

I like how you keep going in circles about this

I tend to trust someone like Chee who has kept the EU for the most part together and is most likely more influential than Pablo (who I've never heard of)

Yes, there's gonna be a new EU but that doesn't mean that everything is gonna be made non-canon. Some things might stay

Just because you've never heard of Pablo Hidalgo doesn't mean he isn't influential. They (Pablo Hidalgo and Leland Chee) haven't contradicted each other.

They may include some things from the EU. But until it's included in the official stuff, it's non-canon.

If you want to discuss this with me more, you may PM me or talk to me through my comments section.

I find it amusing that they are leaving their upcoming series within the canon (obvious reasons) while apparently (according to a single tweet by a dude i never heard of) throwing a blanket on the rest of the EU.

That said i will likely ignore them like i did Lucas Arts regarding the EU its all fine and dandy taking money to give the name to something, but granting it a place in the saga? Well tough cookies, There already is a chronology put together fans and i tend to stick to it.

It's a little shaky starting out, but I actually really enjoyed the series as it progressed. It was good to see a side of Anakin that didn't fall into Hayden Christensen mellow drama. Had much more of a personality than, "You're holding me back!" or *Sobs.* Honestly, that alone made me want to watch the series more.

I agree.

This guy.

Will never be as likable as the person below.

This guy is the only Jedi that marries, has EMO issues and turns to darkside because of them!

Though he isn't that way all the time and more interesting side of him is shown in Clone Wars and that's a good thing.

I sincerely would like to know whether legal issues could arise from their declaring the EU to be non-canon since most novels then would be nothing more than fanfiction. Wouldn't they be liable for false advertising or something similar? If people bought the novels thinking it was an official Star Wars product, taking place in the Star Wars universe, and then someone comes along and says that's not so, aren't there legal pitfalls?

It must be weird as well, for the authors whose books haven't even been released or fully collected yet. One moment your adding to a beloved franchise, the next everything is out.

I hadn't heard that there was going to be a S6 after Disney cancelled it suddenly and what you've got makes me hopeful to see it, but I have to say parts of S5 really gave me serious pause though. I loved the arcs the stuff they did with S's 1 - 3, they were awesome, you got some great looks into the Clones, Grievous, fleshing out Asaaj (even if they changed her from a Rattataki to Dathamiri) to name a few. Sadly, Anakin was more believable in TCW than in the movies.

 Good news, everyone!
Star Wars: The Clone Wars is officially coming to Netflix! You'll be able to watch Seasons 1 - 5, including Season 6. In addition, the director's cut episodes are also coming to Netflix.

The thirteen completedImage IPB episodes from the canceled sixth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars[/i] will be distributed in the United States exclusively on Netflix beginning Friday, March 7, according to an early-morning announcement from Lucasfilm.

"Accompanying the 13-episode new season dubbed 'The Lost Missions' will be the entire Star Wars: The Clone Wars[/i] saga, which includes several director's cut episodes never seen on TV as well as the feature film," the announcement says. "This multi-year agreement also makes Netflix the exclusive subscription service for the entire Star Wars: The Clone Wars[/i] series."

To promote this announcement, USA Today has been given a clip of Yoda hearing "a voice" in his Jedi Temple chambers.

American fans have been anxiously awaiting details about a venue for the bonus content ever since the series was canceled on March 11, 2013. Inannouncing the end of the show's run on Cartoon Network, Lucasfilm said that its animation division was "continuing production on new Clone Wars[/i] story arcs that promise to be some of the most thrilling adventures ever seen." Exactly seven months later, supervising director Dave Filoni revisited the subject of the bonus content, announcing that his team had completedImage IPB the episodes and promising that they would debut early this year.

In Germany, TV network Super RTL is set to broadcast the first of the thirteen Season 6 episodes this Saturday, February 15 at 8:15 p.m. local time. Information about the bonus content episodes has surfaced in German TV listings. As for why Germany is proceeding differently than other markets, an insider suggested to me that Germany was the only country where the television audience was large enough to justify the cost of continuing to air the show.

Check out the full press release below.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars' Final Season, "The Lost Missions," to Hit Netflix on March 7[/b]
February 13, 2014
Exclusive Licensing Agreement with The Disney/ABC Television Group Brings Star Wars Content to Netflix Streaming Members for the First Time[/b]
The Galactic Republic, Disney/ABC Television Group, Lucasfilm, and Netflix Inc. today announced the highly anticipated debut of the sixth and final season of the Emmy® Award-winning series Star Wars: The Clone Wars exclusively to Netflix members in the US and Canada on Friday, March 7. Accompanying the 13-episode new season dubbed "The Lost Missions" will be the entire Star Wars: The Clone Wars saga, which includes several director's cut episodes never seen on TV as well as the feature film. This multi-year agreement also makes Netflix the exclusive subscription service for the entire Star Wars: The Clone Wars series.

In these eagerly anticipated episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, some of the deepest mysteries of the conflict between the light and the dark sides of the Force are revealed. An intrepid clone trooper discovers a shocking secret, Anakin Skywalker's closest relationship is tested to its limits, and what Master Yoda discovers while investigating the disappearance of a Jedi could forever change the balance of power in the galaxy. Fans will not only be able to watch the thrilling finale, they'll be able to see more of Star Wars: The Clone Wars than ever before as Netflix will also stream the director's cut of seasons one to five.

"Stars Wars is one of the most iconic franchises of all time and this series joins a long line of Disney content that Netflix members are and will continue to enjoy for years to come," said Ted Sarandos, Netflix chief content officer. "The Clone Wars marks an important moment as Netflix welcomes more and more first-run content from The Walt Disney Company and its subsidiaries."

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is the first time any Star Wars content has been available for Netflix streaming members. The deal follows a recent announcement from Netflix and The Walt Disney Company to bring multiple original series based on Marvel characters to the service in 2015. Netflix will be the exclusive US subscriptiontelevision serviceImage IPB for first-run, live-action, and animated movies from the Walt Disney Studios including titles from Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, Disneynature, and Lucasfilm beginning in 2016. Netflix members can currently enjoy a wide range of Disney, ABC Entertainment Group and Disney Channel films and TV shows across the 41 countries where Netflix operates.

One last thing.

There's a new clip with Yoda... and Qui-Gon Jinn played by Liam Neeson.

Given that releasing all the episodes to a season all at once, I'm guessing that's a yes.

The Qui-Gon/Sifo-Dyas arc is coming up pretty soon.

Until then, here's the German preview for the Clovis arc, which is airing in Germany next Saturday.

So are they going to continue from episode 13 that was intended from the first or try to change what are supposed to be episodes 14-22? I hope there is no rewrite for these episodes.

I don't think they are. I think they completed a bounty hunter arc with that dealt with Cad Bane, Boba Fett, and Aurra Sing, but it doesn't seem like it's being released. I'm trying to gather as much information as I can about the series so I can discern the direction of it.

By the way, for all of those that have watched the German version of the Order 66/Fives arc, here's a summary of the arc. DO NOT READ IT IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET.

By the way, how far are you in the series, Kaiser Arian?

Are USA watchers still unable to view the first 4 episodes?

Currently, yes. But it is coming out on Netflix on Marchg 7th. Till then, you can only watch it through live streams of Super RTL (the German channel that shows Star Wars: The Clone Wars). So yeah, a little less than three weaks from now, unfortuanately for us American viewers.

I think you'll enjoy the next arc if you're a fan of Hondo Ohnaka.

Anywho, I was looking over some gifs of The Clone Wars, and I'm impressed by the snow effects.

I seem to recall a certain book called "Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force" that contains a lot of things that will be considered non-canon from now on. Both Leland Chee and Pablo Hidalgo are mentioned in the akcnowledgments' section.

Cool. But this isn't the place to be talking about this. You can chat about it on this thread.

I've watched the next three episodes. Cool Hondo Ohnaka, bunch of Jedi kids and nice environment and story in these ones.
Ahsoka is quite likeable unlike the previous seasons (pre-season-4).

Here's the new trailer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 6:

http://www.youtube.c...T6gZdTUKQo&hd=1

So in a nutshell:

- Qui-Gon Jinn is back.

- Yoda goes to Dagobah.

-Fives is finding out what's going on with Tup.

-More about Sifo-Dyas.

-Anakin & Obi-Wan vs Count Dooku (the fight looks incredibly fluid).

-Yoda apparently meets Sidious in a cowl, perhaps temporarily (maybe in a dream of Yoda's or perhaps in reality).

-Visions of Kit Fisto getting cut down.

-Visions of Clones fighting against Jedi.

-Kaminoans taking orders from Lord Tyranus.

-Qui-Gon says, "You must complete what I have not."

-Plo Koon finding Sifo-Dyas's lightsaber.

-Some Barlog-like monster yelling, "Jedi!" at Yoda (could he be the Sith voiced by Mark Hamil?)

-Yoda vs Dark Yoda

-Mother Talzin fighting Mace Windu, with a blade made from her spirit ichor.

-Mace fighting a bunch of huge droids; they don't seem to be Separatist ones either.

-Embo in pursuit of Anakin, Padme, and Clovis.

Those are just off the top of my head. There's a LOT to digest from this trailer.
