I call BS on that. Either he flat out lies, or he's part of the testing team, which means he isn't playing as much as constantly reporting bugs. Which also means the game is nowhere near complete, since bugs needs to be found, checked, fixed, double-checked and then squash its offspring since each fix tends to generate new bugs.

Oh well. At least Bioware isn't letting the community doing the testing for them then. But I still think the guy is lying.

If we get NME before 2015, I will be wary to pick it up. I would feel like they would be rushing it. Getting it in Q4 2015 I think would give them plenty of time to work any bugs out. If they released it by Q2 or Q3 of 2016 I think that would be fine to. Heck really I want BW to work on it as long as they want to. Give me all the things that we are promised, or promised in the future through releasing trailers or just more info. Officially what have we heard or seen from BW on NME, not a lot. Have plenty of time to wait and get excited.

I hope they find a way to make save imports from old gen possible on next gen, at least to have some background on the new game...

That means nothing. They most likely have a demo-level or a functioning hub-level where you can run around and test all gameplay mechanics. And I really doubt there is a working XBox-build of that.

They just started writing the dialog. It will take several month and many drafts to complete the script, let alone recording the dialog and animate the conversations. There is no way they can do this in less than a year.

Unless you see it stated by BioWare or EA, such as in a News and Announcements forum or press release, there is no official release date for the next Mass Effect game. All else is just guesses, and not very good ones.
