All of the shotguns in the game are platinum viable, that's a fact.

However, some of the shotguns are very bad. Katana, scimitar, eviscerator and non-GI venom are all very bad (not quite trash...not as bad as predator or shuriken). You can use them on platinum, yes, but what's the point? You're just gimping yourself by using a really weak weapon. No point in doing that, it only serves to make the game less fun. The venom certainly has its uses (the venom GI is probably my personal favourite setup in the entire game, an immensely devastating setup) but in most situations it just sucks. What's fun about using a weak weapon and gimping your damage output?

recently used the claymore again. wrecks collectors plat with the demolisher, incendiary, and homing grenades. surprisingly got less use out of arc grenades.
