Well Saren explains in the game why he sided with Sovereign.King Killoth wrote...
No I didnt get a chance to read it.. my book store sucks and dose nto carry a lot of books out side of Twilight or fishing guids ((I live in the mountans)).
But a tv series about Saren would be awsome and give more depth to his charetor and show more sides of him.. give him a love intrest and have some tragity or something. give him a reason for falling to Sovrend
Though if you do go and read the book, it gives you a pretty good background on Saren as it is, you get to see how he works and thinks. Which is a gift in itself lol, I love Saren in that book when hes working.

Short Answer: No.
Long Answer: Hell, no. They could never capture 'MY' Shepard or 'MY' story and would just screw it up.

I think a Saren movie or TV show would be great. I realy was intreaged by saren as a charetor. I eman he was the top spectre for a wail he must have done some awsome things in his time befor ME1. his story would be a great way to give mE to a alrger public in the form of a movie or show.

Thats why the movie should be set in either another time frame like the first contact wars or even a Saren orgin movie. so the Shepard story remains pure and personal.aragfore03 wrote...

..i like the idea of an origin story of sorts, maybe focusing on Saren or the Illusive Man, a young Miranda...
and animation might be the clincher to make me wanna see it, take into account the animated Deadspace and Dante's Inferno... they add to the story without focusing too much on the game...

Personally I don't want to see a live full blown ME picture in theaters. For one whatever studio was involved probably wouldn't give them the budget they need to do a truly spectacular movie. I remember an article I read on Kotaku where they where talking about a Metal Gear Solid movie and Sony I think was the studio going to make it was only going to give a budget of 80 million which is no small sum but compared to the budgets of blockbusters like Iron Man and Avatar they wouldn't be able to do a truly great Metal Gear Solid Movie.
I think the same thing would happen to Mass Effect, we would probably get a decent movie but due to its budget it wouldn't be as great as it could be. Personally if the did release any sort of ME movie I would prefer a DVD release maybe something Along the lines of Batman:Gotham Knights or the Animatrix, where they get various directors to show their take on the ME universe. Or even do stand alone movies like some of the animated comic book movies that have come out. Like Green Lantern First Flight, Superman and Batman: Public Enemies, or Justice League New Frontier and so on and so forth. I enjoyed those movies because they expanded on characters I already like and gave some good stories involving them and also at times gave us a new take on known characters.
Do the same with Mass Effect maybe do stand alone movies featuring various characters like Tali, Liara, Wrex, and Ashley, Kaiden and Garrus that explorer their lives before the events of ME1. That way they could be more fleshed out as characters.

I'm not saying the fine folks who believe ME should be made in to a movie or TV show are wrong but I don't think it's a good idea for a movie, and here's why (Big Post Warning):
Mass Effect and the universe therein is, in my opinion, a Neo-Casablanca. Casablanca was/is considered a classic, because, as Umberto Eco put it, it masterfully combined archetypes, cliches, etc. but even as it did so, it played with them. ME does exactly this, but with classic Sci-Fi archetypes mixed in.
We can all pick out elements from other Sci-Fi franchises present in ME, just like most people who watch Casablanca can pick out elements from novels, films, and plays of its type. But ME in its present form is just like Casablanca; it is a beautifully unique amalgam. Somewhere along the way Mass Effect managed to take things we already know, and show them to us in a way the was special and oddly incomparable. I'm not trying to state that the ME books aren't good, or that Casablanca as a novel or play wouldn't be entertaining, but what I am saying is that True classics are so because of everything they are and everything that made them that way.
Mass Effect to me, is a glance at the future in more ways than the obvious. It is the most fantastic example of interactive cinema I've ever seen. No it is not perfect, no classic is. But Mass Effect and it's universe as it is and where it is, is a diamond. Taking away the interaction, viewing it from a perspective other than the one we have, or a fundamental medium change could not help but alter it.
Could a movie be good? Maybe. Could a T.V. show be entertaining? More than likely. But I promise you that Mass Effect in any other form will not have the classic factor that is has now.

Nope, not this little green toad.
Uwe Boll would ruin it
Micheal Bay would ruin it.
Steven Speilbeurg would ruin it
Gerorge Lucas would add Gungans and ruin it.
I'm pretty sure every Hollywood director would ruin it. Every actor would fail. And none of the CGI would look any better then BioWare's

I think ME could be a good movie if it was it's own thing within the ME universe, like ME Galaxies was with Jacob and Miranda before ME. It could have Asari and Salarians and Turians and Humans, Quarians, ect. ect. and just be about whatever, some kinda problem that C-Sec deals with on the Citadel or something...
The possibilities are endless, but it'd be amazing if it were as beautifully rendered as like Avatar was with Humans and aliens in that sense.
