This song played during the end credits of Hunger Games: Catching Fire (which was WAY more awesome than I expected) and the haunting bittersweet melody just brought to mind my first unritualed Warden at the top of the tower getting ready to plunge his sword into the Archdemon (still my favorite), and Shepard having to make the choice in the Decision Chamber.

I think it's about revolution, and responsiblity, and lost innocence, and gives me a sense of some immense tragedy even in carrrying out duty. I think it's beautiful.

Coldplay IMHO: Safety, Parachutes and Rush of Blood = Awesome

All other Coldplay music: Nonsense or pure garbage

X&Y is quite an excellent album as well - Don't know what you're smoking. :)
Unless you were referring to the respective songs and not the albums, then you can see yourself out. :P

Depends on the individual Shepard, MY two Shepards definitely remind me more of Nine Inch Nails than Coldplay. ;)

I think I like it because Shepard and The Warden are both caught up in some ungodly titanic struggle, manipulated by competing interests they're not sure they believe in, interests that would discard or destroy them if they weren't useful, and they've both sacrificed so much that by the climax if anyone deserved to just say, "The hell with this. I've done enough," it would be them.

Instead they decide to carry the world.
