Good evening everyone,

I am currently busy setting up my new rig anew, which has a Radeon r9 290, and wanted to install ME2 some time down the line again, as well.

I have done so before, problem then was that I ran into the "PhysX-error" when starting the game. In the mean-time my hard drive went down on me, so I need to start over again.

I have heard of one solution to this, namely uninstalling NVidia PhysX and installing the version that's on the ME2 disc. I had done that before and found it to work for ME2. However, seeing how there's newer games that rely on newer versions of PhysX, my question is whether anyone else can vouch for this method linked over on ea.answers.com regarding this.

Well, I went and tried that fix, and it does work.

All you have to do is use PhysX 9.09.0814 rather than PhysX 9.12.0613 as in the linked instructions and otherwise follow those steps.
