Getting it for my Birthday (which is a week after launch), which means, it will be painful all the way until NEXT Tuesday when I'll still have a lot of classes I have to go to (including two exams, so I can't just take my Birthday off).

Tuesday will be okay, will probably suck for a few hours, however. Seeing as I pre-ordered from Amazon, I don't even know when I'll get it, IF I get it Tuesday (seeing as I am using date-of-release shipping, hopefully Amazon will pull through). But if I'm lucky, I'll be able to play it before my one class of that day. I have class from 6pm to 9pm. All I'll be able to think about is ME2. Damn.

Than again, Amazon might just give me a big FU and not even give me my ME2 and put me on back-order for weeks. If they do that, I WILL go to Best Buy or Gamestop and buy a regular version because I am not waiting.

My school's postal system sucks. If I get it on Tuesday, I'll play as much as possible and I have one holiday I can take (any day) so I guess that'll be Thursday because Wednesday is only a half day.

Lol, I already planned this all out last November. Requested four days off from work starting on Tuesday and ending Friday just for ME2, and sure enough they gave them to me! Huzzah! That's one epic playthrough of ME2 waiting for me!

For any other company I would agree with you, but when Bioware makes something new, all other concerns cease to exist.  And since I work at a GameStop, my manager was pretty understanding.  In point of fact, he laughed when I told him, and regretted he couldn't do likewise.

I guess it depends on where you work and where you are in life.  Way, way, way back in the day when I was a waiter at Red Lobster I may have said the same thing.  Getting a waiting job is easy, if I lost my job I'd of been working again in a couple weeks.  I also lived in sacramento at the time(where i was going ot school), and rent was a big $300 a month, so my money worries were low.  I assume it is more expensive to live there now, but its probably still very affordable. 

Now I'll make more on unemployment than I did as a waiter, so yeah...

I talked my boss into letting me take 3 days of last years vacation into this year just for ME2.

Problem is, the gamestop I pre-ordered from just told me they are only guaranteeing Xbox versions for release day. They won't do a midnight release, and if they are busy they won't even process the PC versions of the game on release day.

Reason being they don't have a demand for pc games, and don't get resales for pc games, they might not even open up the boxes if they are busy.

So if any of you work at Gamestop, tell me a number I can call to complain about this service. The manager flat out told me I couldn't get the game before 4 pm tuesday, and may lucky if they made the game available before closing time. It was kinda creepy, he acted like everyone in the world was born with an xbox 360 and anyone who didn't buy it for xbox was a traitor.

As of right now Im doing extra work because I asked for it. I asked for it cause I want NOTHING holding me back tuesday. so im taking wensday and tuesday off for myself doing all my homework right now plus the stuff we are doing in class those days. It's painful now but tuesday will be sweet.

Oh, I know what I mean, OP.

I have a class from 9:00-10:40 AM and then a half-hour drive to work that starts at 12:00 afternoon and ends at 5:00 PM. And then I have a half hour drive back to collge with another class at 7:00 PM all the way until 9:30 PM.

So essentially, I'm not going to be touching ME 2, not even installing it, on Tuesday.

i got midterms till noon. that will be painful, as i will know that the thought of my CE laying in an amazon box at home will not help my score. At noon I will get home as quickly as possible, and get pulled over. I will try to explain how awesome Mass Effect is to the police officer, who will not understand.



Then I will get home with a ticket, only to find that my CE hasn't arrived yet. Then I will pace back and forth until it does, likely 2 or 3 hours later. Then I will begin installing it on my 360. While it installs, I will go get 60 buffalo wings and 5 bottles of Calypso lemonade. Then I will fill my bong, and arrange everything in my big ass home theatre in my basement. At aprox. 4pm on tuesday, I will enter Mass Effect nirvana and not leave until 7:30 AM the next day, when I have another midterm.



I will fail that midterm. It will be worth it.
