I only have school from nine to eleven, so mass effect for me all day. Although my xbox has been acting up lately, so of course it will probably get the RROD when I get home on Tuesday.

I work night shift so I'm probably going to try and get off early, hit bed around 4 am or so, and try to get a good 8 hours before waking up at noon and playing for about 10 hours till I have to go back to work.

That's the plan anyway...

Can't really afford to take more than one day off, so all I have is Tuesday. I work graveyard the night before, so I'm probably going to spend most of the day hopped up on 5 hour energy shots.

I only work nights unless I have contract work on the side, which I don't currently. Still debating whether or not Ill go to the midnight release. How bad are the lines usually (or expected to be)? Ive honestly never been to one since I buy all my games online.

Is it something where we have to be there like an hour ahead of time? Or can I just drive over 5 minutes til..?

Oh yeah... very painful. Policy Debate competition on Saturday, so that means practices likely all week (and no ME2 that weekend, cue sadface). Furthermore, on the 26th itself, I have my two heaviest classes. Feign illness, and I'm behind a veritable mountain of work. Go figure, eh?

Scrimped and saved to afford preordering the CE version, but couldn't afford overnight shipping, sooooo it'll get here in 3-5 days instead via EA Store's shipping, making next week extremely bothersome for me. lol

I will, undoubtedly, be formatting some doofus author's book in InDesign, unless it's a light work week. I'm sort of hoping for the light work week, but this dippy author decided to edit her manuscript and resubmit it instead of just submitting normal edits (because she wasn't aware that I could remove the underlining from all hyperlinks with two-three clicks of my mouse). I might have to redo the whole @$#!ing stupid thing AGAIN next week - gah - I hope she turns it in this week or like Monday so I can get the damned thing out of the way. Man, seeing the launch trailer is not making the wait any easier. *weep* Oh, but I did try to change the shipping on my order at Gamestop and I got the following message:

The order maintenance system was unable to process your request.

Because our goal is to ship your order quickly, your order has been packaged for shipment and cannot be cancelled. Also, keep in mind if the item you ordered offers a bonus code, the order cannot be cancelled once the
code is provided as stated in our website Help section and on the product page. If you have questions or still need assistance please feel free to contact us at help@gamestop.com or you may call us toll-free at (800) 883-8895. Our hours of operation are 8:00 am - 9:00 pm (CST) Monday through Friday and 8:00 am - 8:00 pm (CST) Saturday and Sunday. Please do not send credit card information via email.

Image IPBWOOHOO, my CE is evidently ready to go! I just wish they'd like, mail it right now...damn you two-day delivery! *shakes fist* Was hoping they'd added like same-day delivery or something - heh - well at least I know it WILL be on its way. The waiting is still immensely painful however.

Emperor Mars wrote...

Tuesday is my heaviest class day, starting at 8, then a several hour break, then 5 hours of classes.

Now I could skip two of those classes but I vowed not to skip a class by my own will......so I basically got like 4 hours of free time inbetween classes. That does allow me time to go buy the game, and get it installed, but I cant play it...because I feel I wont be able to break away...

That will lead to 5 hours of me sitting in one of my favorite classes, then a two hour film class, with my legs freaking out (my foot shakes when I am aware of something that NEEDS doing). My prof will most likely think I am on speed....
My day starts a 8, then ends around 7:45, allowing time for a nap, and eating...I will need energy, I doubt sleep will come to me that day.

Wed. Januray 27th Emperor Mars is in his ethics in technology class
"Mars*, what was your opinion on the article?"
me, dazed "krogan said what now?"

how will tuesday be for yall?

Im a stay at home husband so no, Tuesday isnt going to be painful for me really....Monday might be though.  After the laundry and dishes are done, I plan on calling an "early day" and going to bed around 4pm and waking up around 2300 before my wife heads in to work so that she can swing me by Gamestop for the Midnight release.  After that, I'll come back home and start playing until around my normal rack time that following night (around 2100).

I force myself out bed. Get up... get dressed... stuff food down my face.... head to my 3 hour long writing class... short break... and then two science lab.....

Preordered w/release date delivery... so if everything goes well I'll be home around 3..... race like an idiot to the apt office to check for packages under my name.

Actually quite thankful school will eat at some of the time. So yeah..... never ordered anything on release date shipping though.

But so far so good my order seems to be in place...

Oh yeahs- no classes Wed/Thurs so game on baby!!

Well, I promise that I'll at least be one american that doesnt spam these forums with spoilers for you Image IPB

Aside from the fact of being a common curtousey,  I'll be way to sodding busy with the game to even think about being anywhere near the forums until Im finished and bled the game dry for all it's worth.

Midnights can get bad for big games, you will wait in line, they will order you by who has it fully paid and who doesnt, then 1st come/serve. I suggest a half hr, and hangout bs'in with the GS people if you know them. I do, and I always get my game at the top of the line no matter when I come.

In Lansing the Midnight waits arent usually that bad...3-4 people at the very most. (Not a very big gaming community here for some reason lol.) So when I went in for the Midnight release of DA and Batman: AA the lines were practically non existant.

It will be a bit painful, yes. I'm going to be 25 years old.

Of course, I will be getting ME2 on friday, so that will take some of the sting away.

Well, I have the whole thing paid off although I expected that most people would be the same....though I take it thats not the case?

Either way,  Ill probably end up going. Dont think I can stand sitting around that night knowing I could be playing it.
