In a world where everyone can easily hack each other, hackings would be minimal. :)

I would imagine that, like any other synthetic race, we would come up with countermeasures. Over time, those countermeasures would need to be updated as our understanding of the technology grows.

Gosh, that sounds an awful lot like... evolution and conflict! The two things anti-synthesis folks say won't exist anymore! Who'd a thunk?

Actually it sounds like the Gray Death.

That or living somewhere frequently ravaged by deadly biological plagues (only a computer virus would travel infinitely faster). Fun fun.
