This is something i've done and thought i'd share.

I frequently run around my PW with two characters and can make for some fun interactions.  Although can be difficult to control.

For this to work, at least to connect to the same PW/module, you must have two sets of cd-keys. In theory, you can have as many instances running as you like as long as your comp can handle it and you have enough CD keys.

Firstly, you have to get NWN2 running under Wine, and i won't detail that here, the instructions on winehq are still relevant, although you may have to mess around depending on your exact configuration.

 Once you have a working Wine config (in .wine) make a copy of the whole wine directory (not entirely sure this is needed, but its how it worked for me).

Now, you don't need to have your game install under the virtual C:\\, mine is under ~\\Games so i actually use the same game executable for both instances.  My personal files (those you would find under My Documents on Windows) reside under ~\\ (home)

Now, in your NWN2 game folder, makes backups of your nwncdkey.ini files. For example, nwncdkey1st.ini and nwncdkey2nd.ini or whatever suits you.

If you also want automatic changing of player names depending on which instance you launch, you also can do the same with nwn2player.ini found in ~\\Neverwinter Nights 2 (the My Documents files).

Finally, you will want a pair of scripts, that you link to icons to launch the game.

They should look something like this:

There you go, now you can play with yourself under Linux
