I wanted to do it in 3ds max .
Then it could break the animation (for placeables, since no bones are involved, the animation is based on the meshes). But I never tested it, maybe it would work anyway.

Here's four more additions, including another tavern (upper left) and a stables (lower right). The place is getting a little crowded now.

More conversions: at left is a windmill; at right, assorted clutter.
For the windmill, I'm planning to have a second version without the wings so I can use 4760's animated version. In the image at right, the odd-looking farming implement at lower left is a harrow.

Now I'm off to the family X-mas fest. C U Later. ![]()
Love the Harrow, good to have some scene setting bits and bobs,
Hope the day was great. Mine's been exhausting. Four kids will do that to you ![]()

Love the placeables, awesome work as always rjshae!
Any progress on the Illithid tileset project? ![]()
Any progress on the Illithid tileset project?
Nope, sorry. It's on the to-do list. It involves a lot of texture re-mapping work and I haven't been real excited about doing it. But I'll get to it.
The dockhouse model contains a boat that I extracted and then added some additional detail (below). I think it will make a serviceable coaster or smuggling craft. Also added is a house (with a so-so texture), a nice little chapel, a double-sided dwarven tomb entrance, and a set of four menhir extracted from a Stonehenge model.

I like that tomb entrance.
I love the small smugglers craft...we need more of those. The tomb entry is nice as well. Where are these available?
They'll be released in the next set, probably a few months from now.
Now that there's a harrow, I was looking for other missing medieval farming implements. Thus far I have:
Can you think of anything else (farming-related) that we're lacking?
Could also do with a bow saw and wicker fence parts.
Butter churn:

Now that there's a harrow, I was looking for other missing medieval farming implements. Thus far I have:
- Winnowing basket
- Butter churn
- Hand barrow
- Mattock
- Ard (an older style of plow)
- Threshing flail (two wood poles attached by a chain)
Can you think of anything else (farming-related) that we're lacking?
Could also do with a bow saw and wicker fence parts.
A placeable scythe model that actually looks like a real scythe would be nice.

Something like these perhaps (although preferably for free):

Okay. There's a free model here that I could use. The texture might need a little work.
That'd do the trick.
I also like some of the gnarly tools. Vertical angled versions would be handy for hanging on barn walls, or perhaps to decorate the inside of Uncle Fralin's tool shed.
These are great as is becoming the case with all these models. Perhaps you might also be able to find:
Foot lathe?
A Broadcaster?
Heavy horse (with animations)?
Horse related trappings, saddles and tack?
With what you have there is already a lot more we can do to add interest to an area. Makes we want to do another farm setting again ... well, nearly.

A sled maybe?
And a surrey with a fringe on top. ![]()
The free sled models I looked at were all too fancy-dancy for my taste. I'd like something more rustic-looking, but I might have to build it myself.
But I could do a smaller, one-man sled too.

Animal companion sold separately.
Yes, that's more like it. Thanks. Too bad we don't have an ox model. Probably more trouble than it's worth though.

A model effect applied to the cow (with a new skin) could give it ox-like horns, provided the cow has a head node defined for it. In that case someone would only need to create a pair of horns (and a visual effect). You could texture the udders out using the alpha channel, like I did for the sheep model.
Another possibility is to have tame gorgons as beasts of burden, using the RWS gorgon model.
Sundry additions to the pot...

From left to right: scissor chair, tun, (another) weapons rack, table with cloth, cheese slice, apple, bread, rope-bound bale, scroll, goblet, sack, bed, butter churn (open and closed), 2 hammers, hand axe, mattock, fork, spade, and sledgehammer. Forgot to include the large rusty axe. At top is a garland. The bale and butter churns are mine; the remainder are ports. I think I need to round the bale corners a little more.
