alright im trying to find the right shepard so im going on MassEffect2Faces too try out a few CC's but when i copy the code and create the Shepard on ME1 he/she looks alot more , tan then how the picture shows

as the series goes by did your Shepard look alot more different then ME1? did their skin begin to look alot more whiter then how you started off with?

im copying this FemShep and i know i got her right but in ME1 she looks alot more tan then how she does in the picture

http://www.masseffec...php?faceID=2396

of course those aren't ME1 pictures but in ME2 and 3 does their skin get lighter?

Not sure, but it seemed like in ME3 it was way too easy to make Shepard look white as a ghost. Even if I was not intentionally going for dark look, I still had to set the skin tone slider somewhere in the middle just so Shepard would not look so sickly pale.

If you import your character's face directly from the prior game then it will appear exactly the same. However if you use the same code in the two games then the face will turn out slightly different; I discovered this when copying slider values for the same character through 1, 2 and 3. So it appears that Bioware adjusted and tweaked the facial structure each time. Using Accept Imported Face will directly import the old mesh.

As for the skin tone, I've always noticed that Mass Effect favours more pale lighting, which can be seen in places like the Presidium or inside the Normandy SR1, making Shepard appear rather pale. This especially happens in ME3, because the lighting in the character creator is also pale. In general the lighting in all three game's creator is unhelpful because the rim lighting doesn't help out much and sometimes makes it hard to tell what the shapes of the face are. Combine that with the very unhelpful LOOK LEFT/LOOK RIGHT controls and it can take many tries to get just the right face. ME2's sqeaks ahead because it overlays a wireframe over the face.

Actually I JUST started a new game in ME3 importing my ME2 character and the mesh does not match at all. I don't think its just "in your head". The way her mouth moves also changed between games so much so, that after importing when I started ME2, I had to change her mouth shape, and then change it back in ME3 because in ME3 her mouth from ME2 now looked odd when it moved too. There seem to be minor differences in each character creator. When I import into ME2 I always go "what, that doesn't look right" and I had to adjust the formula to make it work right in ME2. Then when I imported into ME3 the same thing happened : "what, that doesn't look right again." and changed things up for ME3.

I noticed my Shepard's mouth didn't look right after importing either. Her teeth were constantly showing. Also, her eyes seemed to get wider so she looked more bug-eyed.

It'd be very nice if you could change your appearance mid-game rather than just at the start.

I think it would be nicer if we could pose the face so that we could see our Shepard angry, sad, happy and other emotions. And to hear them speak we have them say a sentence. Say, pressing Square would make them say "I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favourite store on the Citadel". That way we could see how well the mouth deforms when speaking.

It's weird though; my first ever playthroughs were with a mesh I don't think changed very much at all. The only complaint I had was that the hairstyle I picked (the one Traynor has) went from neat in ME1 to messy in ME2 and then back to neat again in ME3.
