By comparison I don't really see how anyone can think that pressing X and then pressing A before the reloading animation finishes could count as cheating.

For some reason those weapons have shorter reload animation...
BTW, I think you don't rely on animation cancelling in fightings as well, am I correct?

It's like when the ugly, smart chick at the party gets put in charge of checking coats. Suddenly everyone needs an RFID chip to get their chit back.

I'm pretty sure cheating is when you give your self infinite missiles or make it so you get more credits than you should per game.

Oh, you were serious about it. So it's a glitch? Like the earth is flat and there was no moon landing?Beerfish wrote...
It's a glitch that game developers feel is too tough for them to fix, lazy buggers, thus they let it slide. If it was a game mechanic then they would give all weapons the same reload time. Reload time should be a factor in a weapons use, just like weight, damage, stability. Ah well long live the Crutchmore!
Bwaaaaaaaaaahahahahahhaha!!!!
The developer quotes on this issue has been posted several times. Sorry to disapoint you, but no, it's not a glitch. It's deliberate. Period.
No they never said it was deliberate they said it was a 'wink wink' feature. If it is a 'feature' it is a very faulty feature because reload time is a very viable and important feature of a weapon. If you are going to negate the reload time of a weapon with by a skill ful use of cancelling out of an action you should be able to enhance damage, reduce weight , make a weapon more stable by something similar. Faulty design that game companies have decided is not worth the fix.
Where do you reload scrubs get this "too tough to fix" or "don't know how to fix" crap? There is a very clear variable in the coalesced that determines when the reload is complete. It could be made to match the animation time quickly and easily at any time. The fact that they choose not to change this easily changable thing indicates intent.
The devs are on record that they put reload cancelling in the game in ME2, before a MP component was even conceived, as a feature for advanced gameplay, similar to RHA. It is a recognized feature in many, many games.
You guys are ridiculous. I'm not sure if you think railing on reload cancelling makes you look smart or more principled or what. But the truth is, it just makes you sound like a scrub who's upset about being outscored.

Yeah, you're right. I fell for it with Gallows Pole once a long time ago too...just frustrating. I guess I just get irritated by holier-than-thou attitudes, regardless of the specific topic at hand. Still, you are correct that it's not worth the time and frustration.
Thanks for the wise words.

Claymore DPS with reload cancelling = 833.38
Piranha DPS WITHOUT reload cancelling = 860.93
Raider DPS WITHOUT reload cancelling = 981.60
Reegar DPS WITHOUT reload cancelling = 3108.57
If it's such a horrible exploit, I guess I wonder why they proceeded to release 3 guns in the same class that have even more DPS even before factoring in the "glitch"...

The closest would be when I joined a match a while ago with a guy and his girlfriend, and neither of them were good and were constantly dying and wandering off on their own and the other player and I had to keep running and reviving them. Basically, everyone died a lot aside from me and at the end he screamed 'ALL OF YOU GUYS SUCK except you, honey'.
