I let ashley die at virmire and I'm wondering does not having in LI change the game for you at all?
What if your shepard didn't have a LI in ME1?

Sure it does. It saves you the chance from being ratted out when you cheat on your ME1 love interest with a possible ME2 character. Lol. Other than that, I just think that you won't have any "special" connections with the characters from the first game other than they are friends of Shepard's.

It means you get to romance whoever you like in ME2, guilt free.
Other than that, I doubt it changes much.

I'm just worried my ME2 love interest, Subject Zero, will have a muted role in ME3.

What I wonder is which character will take the place of the 'expected' love interest during scenes or whatnot. Some other character would be the logical answer, I think, but still...
