It depends on the type of threat. I certainly agree that the Reapers would rule out plenty of stories, but I'm not really into the MEU equivalent of the Yuuzhan Vong showing up anyway.
I found myself thinking this would be both cool, and completely wrong, if anything remotely like this was going on in me-next. that was before I even looked at this post.
