I would like hair similar to Lara Croft's in the 2013 Tomb Raider. It was long and tied back but also a bit messy.

And maybe some more longish loose hair? Like Alice-

Or it could be tied up, less neat than the pony tail that was in DAO and DA2 that Lara had in her reboot

Or looser like Elizabeth's-

Or maybe her fancy fluffy hair from Burial At Sea?

I like ponytails or hair pulled/braided/pinned back. The "Zevran style" or "Teagan style" hair I usually use for my guys. Once in a while, I'd use Fergus's short 'do. Those seemed pretty practical for a warrior running around in armor swinging a sword (or slicing things up with daggers), keeping hair out of the face. If a female has long hair, I want it to be the same, practical but attractive.
Poofy, silly, impractical hair that would constantly get in the line of sight doesn't appeal to me. I could see my inquisitor braiding her hair if it's long or putting it in a knot at the nape of her neck, but not flying around in her eyes when she's trying to keep pokey things from poking her between the ribs, or trying to cast a spell, and having to pull her hair back out of her face so she can see the target.
Hair like that causes immediate disconnect for me.

A mohawk that is long, doesn't stand on end, and is really wide. Basically just have the sides of the head shaved.....
Kinda like what Beckham has here just longer:

So you know all those longish male hairstyles that have half of it pulled up and back with the rest flying freely? Zevran has one of the variations, for example. How about letting the ladies in on that action. It's my favorite way to wear my hair and it's almost never a dang option for women. Or if it is an option, it's all super ornate, which I don't want my warrior ladies to have. ><

Link's Haircut. for Elves, since the heroic warrior style would be nice.

If that mohawk-ponytail combo were available for all races, I'd be a happy lady.

Some better short options for females; think Pink (the singer/songwriter)! In fact, just Google-image Pink and yeah, almost any of her short styles I'd be happy with. Also, a highlight pattern "slider" with highlights available in alternative colors--pink, blue, purple, pretty much any color on the tattoo color sliders.
-- I put "slider" in quotes because I believe there was some talk of DA:I not having the sliders to customize your character. I just mean that I'd like different highlighting pattern options, I'm just not sure of what method the devs will employ for character customization.

I really liked Saskia's hair from TW2.
I would definitely like to see some variations on that and more messy ponytails.

A mullet done right, Solid Snake-style.
And some long and shoulder-length hairstyles for males that don't look weird and static-y, though the same could be said for females.

Just a nice variety of normal hairstyles for both men and women. The more options the better.

A normal one. My prefered (main char will be human) is something like e.g. Crowe in Gladiator:

To be honest, I really just want some nice bangs. None of that tiny almost invisible stuff or the blunt right over my eyeballs thing. I'm worried that if I play a Qunari, I won't get the option for them what with my big ol' horns and whatnot.
