 First of all, I hope they give us lots of choices for both male and female... and all new ones, none of the old hairstyles used in DAO and DA2. I would love some short, stylish hairstyles for women.  Maybe some anime hairstyles, but not to overboard with the anime craziness.... you know, keep it realistic.

 I do not understand why people want long hair so much. Our protagonist is a fighter, both in Dragon Age and Mass Effect. Long hair is very unpractical! People can grap it, it gets stuck somewhere, ect. Sure, I liked long hair when I started Dragon Age, but short hair can be very pretty, too! 

I really like the pixie cuts (as seen on my profile pic)

In Rome it was considered "unroman" to have unkempt hair and beard, unless you were in mourning.

I don't know enough about the medieval european hair traditions to comment on that though.
