A decent Slayer attacks spawns, not pull a pansy and hide behind a Jugg.

U/U/P, unless you get Collectors, is the same stuff every game just in a different order.
That's hardly the case. For starters, you only get one enemy faction on the first 2 waves of platinum (similar to wave 10 gold). There is a lot of variety in the enemies seen in platinum games, it's certainly not less varied than gold.

Go play three Platinum games in a row with two friends as a 3-man biotic squad... and one TGI scrub zapping Overload at every enemy interrupting every single one of your team's combos.
Then come back and tell me it wasn't the slightest bit annoying.

Eh, I wish Plat was one faction but bring the difficulty up quite a bit. Some waves of Plat are just easy because the units aren't really complimentary or they get jammed up.XFG-65 wrote...

Some loudmouth holier-than-thou scrub. He also hates Drell with a burning passion, and maxed his PS3 manifest in under 370 hours.rusty221 wrote...

Glad I missed that bit of BSN skulduggery, but it did mean that the joke went over my head, apologies.

Yeah, this is why I like Gold better too. You can use pretty much any play style you want on Gold and still succeed. Platinum kind of forces you into certain play styles unless you are a super-elite player who can win with everything (which I am not).Dovakiin-TheSlayer wrote...

It was boring because you were all hiding behind a Juggernaut.
That said, I do find Gold to be more fun.
That is the problem with platinum, it makes you play in certain style. At least I could not do melee paladin on platinum. Neither I or the Vorcha could have survived the banshee grab had we not hid behind the juggy. But yeah. Easy credit farming.

- a volus (engineer) for shield boost, debuff, and scan
- a demolisher for pylon shield and damage boost and grenade all things
- an Inf with Duration cloak for dps and disable devices
- and any kit that puts out excellent deeps (GI, Huntress, TGI, Justicar, Paladin, GT, Destroyer, etc)

The definition of boredom. Seriously, just play the game and don't worry about wiping. Who knows, with enough practice, you could find yourself doing really well in platinum and enjoying yourself as much as you do in gold, if not even more. Platinum will always be the tougher challenge, which is why it'll always be my favourite mode.Dovakiin-TheSlayer wrote...
Platinum glacier with Flamer and snap freeze it extremely fast and efficient way to get credits. While banshees were taking bit long, the phantoms and hunters and marauders were dying super Aar without we even seeing them.

Juggy - melee button
Vorcha - lamer button
Paladin - snap cheese button
Slayer - slash button
That might've added to the boredom too.
