I think what Helmet Chicken is trying to say is, in the 3 days since you created this thread, you could have finished 2 playthroughs. You could be one of the people answering OTHER people's questions. It's not meant to be a job, it's a game - so go and HAVE SOME FUN for crying out loud. Learn for yourself what is fun for YOU to play, and don't worry so much about it.

God you think I havent been playing in the 3 days since I started this thread and ask questions, I mean after all I have got the singularity, and all but the hacking and neural shock unlocked, on the engineer.

for anyone trying to beat insanity, i recomend the engineer, higher shields, tech abilites for the geth, and a shotgun or assault rifle ability to even it.

The only class I'd avoid for a first play through is engineer.
My first complete playthrough was as an adept, as it happens, and I had no problem. I ran with Liara and Tali on all the main missions, and between the three of us, we completely dominated the battlefield. And pistols are fine weapons, I never notice that AR is much better, honestly. Sniper rifles and shotguns have tactical uses, but the difference between AR and pistol isn't that much.

The close quarters fighting really doesn't allow much use of a sniper rifle either - looks to be fixed for ME2 though.

I'd go for Adept-Bastion+AR personally...recharging Barrier+Stasis with DAMAGE, a major increase on recharge time with a decent amp and class bonuses, and the general enemy immobilising talents like throw, lift, and singularity coupled with the power of the AR make insanity almost enjoyable.
