So, I preordered ME2:CE from Amazon. I am using date-of-release shipping, now if they DO NOT get it to me the day ME is released or if they put me on back-order, can I cancel my order completely?
Question for anyone that uses Amazon

As long as the order is Open and not Shipped or Processing then you can cancel it.

I'm pretty sure that as long it hasn't shipped yet, you can cancel it without any hassle. You'll basically know a day ahead of time though, because they better ship on Monday to get it to you on Tuesday.
P.S. When I pre-ordered Batman: Arkham Asylum (PC) back a while ago, I picked the Free Shipping option. I still got it on release day. A perk of living 20 miles from their distribution station, I guess.

Once your package goes into "Shipping Soon" mode, you cannot cancel or change anything about the order.
If your orders status is "Not Yet Shipped" then you can cancel or change it.
If your orders status is "Not Yet Shipped" then you can cancel or change it.

Watch out for Amazon, I have never had a good luck with games from them, also horrible customer service. Find a gamestop if you can.

All right, thanks for the help, everyone. Sorry if it seems like a weak question but 1. I've heard very bad things about Amazon, 2. I've never used Amazon and am somewhat unsure about certain things (such as canceling orders), 3. It's Mass Effect 2 so I need it the day it is out.

I've never had a problem with Amazon, now UPS and FEDEx are a different matter, and they have great customer service. Even when the mistake was UPS delivering to the wrong address Amazon shipped out a new DVD set the second I told them what happened at no charge to me. And it was free next-day shipping.

Never had a problem with Amazon. With release day shipping, unless something goes horribly wrong on their end or with the mail, I will get it on release day. They process the order for shipping a day or two before the release date.
