Some things I think they should add in the next Mass Effect for both SP and MP...

Both: Add in suits with special abilities. Like the N7 destroyer or the N7 Slayer's special abilities are inside a suit which gives you those particular special moves(For the Destroyer suit, you get Devastator Mode, for the Slayer, you get one of his moves and the sword for melee). You can activate them separately, like any individual power. And you can upgrade them, making the suits abilities and stats stronger.

More unique powers. I love seeing powers like electric slash or ballistic blades. It makes it more interesting and a lot more unique to play as certain characters or classes. I just wish that classes didn't share as many abilities, and had their own unique ones. Just adds flavor.

Single Player: Custom ability loadouts. To build on the unique powers idea, they should have a pool of different powers and abilities you can mix and match within a class. Obviously being overpowered doesn't mean much here. But, depending on the class you pick, some abilities will be shared and some will he wholly unique. It would allow for players to make their own custom Protagonist and make them truly unique. With interesting abilities from each class and also a lot of shared ones. It would make each class feel much, MUCH more unique and every player could play a little differently.

Multi-player: Custom characters. Just let us make one for each class, any race, and use the above suit idea and maybe let us pick from a couple of choices within each class and race on what powers we can choose. Obviously retaining the ability to keep us from being too overpowered. But there should be more builds and options available. You can buy upgrades and weapons just like in regular ME3 MP, but also add in that suit idea. Seems like it could work. But it also could not work, I have no idea how hard it'd be to balance multi-player. Not that they did a good job of that anyway. >_>

Let us choose which power goes where. For instance, on the Batarian Soldier, why can't blade armor be Y and ballistic blades be the left button? Just a small complaint, but a complaint none the less.

This is just a random couple of ideas i had regarding ME. Critique mine or add your own, I guess.

Add in suits with special abilities:
I'd like to see armor modding kinda like in ME1, ME3MP already had gear and consumabels, visual feedback on the char what mods ar equipped would be nice. Powers depending on armor? Nah.

More unique powers:
YES! Reuse of powers is ok with some standard stuff but 3 kits with Flamer ist lame.

Single Player: Custom ability loadouts
YES! Could be the reward for finishing the game on Insanity and then an option for new game plus and unlock superplatinumuber difficulty to challenge the most OP builds one can imagine.

Multi-player: Custom characters.
Nice idea but very hard to balance I guess. Might be reward for finishing all challenges instead of just a lousy BOTB-banner. Would need a lot of restrictions, testing and tweaking even after release of ME4, but raging about balance changes is a big part of BSN, right? :3

Just some other random ideas:
Bring everything from MP to SP and vice versa. All weapons, all maps, all enemies.
Instead of the scaled down "Armax Arena" ME4SP should allow players to play MP maps in SP together with SP squad mates on the Normandy's ship's holodeck.
ME4 needs more ammo like shredder and polonium, a 4th damage type like poison and some Bosses with lots of health instead of armor.

Obviously the more different powers the better, but almost every kit in MP still had its own distinct play style so it was still worth adding in multiple kits which shared one or two of the same powers. It seems a little contradictory that you suggest unique powers and then build your own character which can choose powers.

Personally I rather have BioWare make the game they envision instead of trying to hit the check boxes of what people want them to do, BioWare doing it their way gave us Mass Effect 1 and Dragon Age: Origins. Making changes to give people what they want has lead to less then positive reactions.

As long as the story is good and they add holstering your weapon back into the game I'll be content with the next Mass Effect game.

They'd still be unique. And like i said, balance and limit. I don't expect there to be custom characters with all the best and most unique abilities. Just a particular pool of certain abilities we can choose from if we do make it. Like if we take so and so power, we can't have another particular power. Maybe even use a point system to make the powers equal. They'd still be unique even if you could put them on other characters. I don't see Annihilation Field any less unique because it's on the Fury AND Valkyrie. Is Lash not unique because it's on two characters? Unique abilities and skills are unique even if their abilities are shared by multiple other characters. I just don't want to see every other class using incinerate or something. Just different abilities more often.

Listening to fans doesn't mean they're suddenly going to make a bad game. DA:I they've changed a ton based on fan feedback. I guess we should just go back to reused areas and linear storylines? Wait, how about ME3? Where they added in the Extended Cut due to fan feedback? A better more expanded ending is a bad thing, I guess. Fan feedback and ideas can bring a game a long way. There's a limit, yes, but I doubt adding things that would improve the game would be an inherintly bad thing.

- Heavy melee weapons: Light melee as is but heavy melee depends on what melee weapon is used and how it is modded and leveled up
- melee and fitness NOT in the same skilltree! melee vs. weapon and power damage, fitness vs. movement speed (with some damage reduction while running and dodging)
- charge up powers
- something has to be done about grenade supply
- Heavy weapons for MP. "There is no time for aerial bombardement but we dropped you some heavy weapons." 4 HWs randomly around the map to pick up and use like in ME3SP
- mixed enemies for all difficulties and a better Platinum difficulty, not just boss spam
- superbosses like a Harvester or Gunship
- LOLPOWERS bubble: shoot weakspot to disable (like Atlas' dark energy generator in the crotch or Banshee's biotic sacks on the chest )
