We have many visual material already to speculate about gameplay and companions. Now, what about voices?

3. Starting VO recording for large parts of the game (More on this later). 

 
Can those of you, who were here before DAO and DA2 launches, tell in which shape and form this "later" comes? Will it be direct announce "we present you companions and their VA" or will they simply name all VA involved and we can guess for some time who plays who?

If I remember right from DA2, it was some of the last information that came out before the game was released.

Honestly don't remember been so long, but I really wish Brian Blessed would voice a character xD and at one point I want him to scream "The Inquisitor is Alive!!!"

A lot of the voice actors became known when they updated their own Twitter/Facebook etc with what projects they were working on. Or at least dropped pretty broad hints.

It's not something I need to know because I don't go squee much.

Laura Bailey will most likely have  VO in the game

Anyone that has contracts with EA or BioWare and have voices that was in previous DA games are most likely going to be in the game. When they release this information, unless it is through leaks or used as a major tease for the game, most likely a couple of months before its release.

Sean Bean just playing anyone would make my year. I'd love him to be the Human Inquisitors VA... Long shot I know but who wouldn't want Sharpe/Boromir/Ned Stark?!? Ha, might be my Yorkshire bias that though (:

Actually, they said a couple times that those who played major roles in previous games can not be in the new one (except for the same character). Though, one-liners from random NPC might be still possible I guess. This is why I would love to see the official VA list - name there would not mean the actor is actually voicing someone important. Imagine hopes, disappointments, tons of discussions and speculations.And when the final Big NPC (companions and major figures) list is revealed (only 2 months before release?! awwww) that would make forums quite a hot place

Thats true enough actually. Ha. Well, I still hold out hope, such a great voice. 


It's a shame there'll be no voice like Senechal Varel/Zaeed Massani... If I recall didn't the actor die? He was fantastic.

Yeah its a shame =( one of his last voice roles before he died was Zaeed Massani's stuff in ME : Citadel i believe

Sean Bean is a walking, talking spoiler. However, I wouldn't complain if he voiced a character. He has a magnificent voice.

Sean Bean is a walking, talking spoiler. However, I wouldn't complain if he voiced a character. He has a magnificent voice.

 





With the whole human inquisitor 'Trevelyan' link it would be cool, but I think he has only ever voiced in one game before and that was Martin Septim way back in Oblivion. Be even coolers with a Richard Sharpe style British military jacket in game!! Now I am dreaming.
