As I've said before, they're saying the right things, but I was excited about ME3 before it came out too.

It'll be better than DA2, that much I'm sure of. I can't say it'll be a proper DA game with the heavy ME influence present.

I don't. Although I am a little intrigued by what they have shown us so far, I also don't plan on letting my expectations to get above "mildly interested" until the game is actually out.

Bioware's burned me far too many times in the last few years for me to have faith in the quality of their games/books/anything anymore.

I'm going in much like Jimmy. Though I hope I'm surprised.

I keep my expectation low and will definitly wait till the first player reviews coming in to decide if I'm giving it a go or not. DA II was too bad to blindly pre-order or buy on release day.

Have to admit though, DA:I looks interesting and some game mechanics sound promising, but too less info to judge it appropriatly. They still can screw up many things.

High hopes? Eh.

Looking forward to playing it, though. I enjoy action-RPGs, and despite its heavy flaws, even Dragon Age 2 was significantly better than many recent others. Here's hoping they bring the ignored strengths of Origins back to Inquisiton, with DA2's handful of improvements.

Yes, but then again, I'm one of those weirdos who enjoyed both ME3 (my favorite in the series despite the ending) and DA2 (for the first 2 playthroughs anyway).

I will always have high hopes for Dragon Age, it's my favorite series.

Maybe that's gullible, but I prefer being that to pessimistic.

I feel the exact same.

LOL!  I've got 14 Hawkes on this computer and at least half a dozen on my sister's and I can say that quite a few of them were the same game....I like roleplaying some personalities better than others, what can I say?

I also enjoy replaying games with the same character.

You will live a happier life if you expect less.

Far better to be pleasantly surprised by something exceeding your low expectations than to be disappointed by something failing to meet your higher expectations.

This has been my philosophy for quite some time especially regarding games. Of course, after the X:Rebirth fiasco... I have had to add another line:

Of course, having low expectations and the reality of the game not even managing to meet those, tends to be the worst form of crushing agony.

I will keep my expectations tempered, but I am hopeful. I really could use a game that keeps my faith in developers alive right now.

I'd be happy if it were great and disappointed if it sucked. Does that count as high hopes?

Of course I do.

Hopes for a video game cost me very little - so I've got plenty to spare. If the game is great - the payoff is great. If the game sucks - the deficit is negligible.

Pretty excited but I'm not preordering, or buying it. My gf is though, so I'm just gonna mooch off of her^_^ My days of buying EA games are over.

Considering how much I love DA2 (no matter how many times people come on BSN and feel compelled to take a swipe at it as if their statement matters in the least) I have "high hopes" in DAI being good as long as they don't make it to much about mechanics and veer away from story/character driven plots it will be good. I've recently read that they are taking romances serious and they seem to really want to make their fans happy so it defo sounds like its going in the right direction.

Well it has race options and a bigger world so it's already guaranteed to be better than DA2 as far as my tastes go. I was really excited back in August-September when they released all that info, but each day that goes by I become increasingly "meh" hopefully they don't keep us in the dark too much longer.

I have high hopes and expectations because I can not wait for this game to come out! DA2 was good, just lacking and ME3 was an amazing game aside from the ending and Miranda romance. I don't let past games get in the way of what I am currently seeing.

Sonic Chronicles: TDB was an excellent game. ME2 was an excellent game. ME1 was a good game. DA:O was an excellent game. DA ][ was an very good game. ME3 was an excellent game. KotOR was a good game. Jade Empire was a pretty good game.

I've yet to see a reason to doubt Bioware.

On the other hand, my dad has just started his 20th???? playthrough of DA2.

Fascinating.

It could just be his memory so every time it is like a new game. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/bandit.png[/smilie]

Lol, that's mean.
