My gamertag is the same as my ID, so if you see mandalorian sun in your xbox lobby, it's me. It kind of annoys me that BSN players have different GT's than what they post on here with, as i then have no idea whether i've played with any legends or common posters. Just a personal gripe, i saw a guy with stuuupid numbers, over 30,000 N7 and over 140,000 challenge points, and i'd never seen his name before but figured he had to be on here.
Why is your GT not the same as your OID?

I'm known by about half a dozen different names depending on who you ask.
Just sort of happened.
I'm also pretty sure that if I ever got another xbox my GT wasn't set to Cyonan when my 360 decided it preferred the life of a brick rather than a gaming console.

Here is my sad story. My original Gamertag was indeed just 'Beerfish' However when creating it I was in a rush and for date of birth I accidentally entered the current day rather than my birthday. thus XBox thought I was only a few days old and would not let me do anything with my account due to some kind of parental lock out thing. I tried to go and edit out this error but it allowed me to change just about every thing except the birth date. I found out I was going to have to all in to XBox or something to make a change so in frustration I just made another gamertag 'Beerfish77'
to this day Beerfish lays....hardly used,,,,in moth balls....

I wasn't thinking when I created this one - didn't think I would say much at all. I would change it if I could, but am not willing to change my GT.

hey man at least beerfish77 is some semblance of your posting name, but for instance i could be in a lobby with, lets say cyonan, but his GT might be something like "bulbous earlobe" and i would have no idea, and go on with my sad unenlightened life.

Welp, when I first signed up for BSN it was purely for some bonus thing for one of BioWare's games, though I can't remember which now. I was being lazy and wasn't interested in posting anything or generally interacting with anyone, so I put in the first available name that came to mind.
It kinda stuck, though: I use Blaaaaaaaaaarg, as well as Assassin051 (my GT), for many different accounts now.

Because Origin doesn't let me use Aedolon for some reason, even though such OID doesn't seem to exist. Any idea why this might be?
(Both are names from a very old P&P RPG campaign I GM'd.)

Because they might be taken. Also I don't want to spend the $10 to change my xbox tag to Baby Quarian when its fine the way it is.

Because Origin allows 16 characters and BSN allows 15. Go figure.

Well PSN doesn't allow for us to change our names, and I created my PSN before I had hit a common username. Project_Lazarus is not that username either, my origin ID used to reflect that common name, but I have to keep the mystery.

My BSN ID was different than my GT. I simply asked Jeff Rousell to change it to match my GT. I think it was different because I was stationed in Turkey when I first bought and played ME1 and I had no internet. When I finally moved back to the States, I bought DA:O for the PS3 and I signed up to BSN from the email address I was using for the PS3. Fortunately, it didn't take long to straighten everything out.
