F*#&k that? how dare she? Garrus is my second in command, he was with me in ME1 and nothing can change

that fact.

I hope that when she says she's a second in command (probably after recruting the first squadmate whoever that

is) to Garrus, there is a dialogue option pops up saying "screw you **** you just became subordinate of Garrus."

Perhaps it's a Cerberus directive that all it's ships must appoint a stripper as XO.

It was when she became a high ranking Cerberus operative and project leader of the Lazarus Project I suspect. Don't quote me on that. Just speculation.

I agree, OP. :P If it's hardcoded that Miranda's "Second in Command," I guess I'll just have to unofficially appoint Garrus as such. He's my right hand, always on the squad and ready to face anything.

Garrus isn't XO material. He's a whiny **** that doesn't understand there's a chain of command and I'll beat him with it until he does.

What? Garrus is a military man and a police officer, and damn good at both. How is he even remotely "whiny", and how could you possibly get the impression that does he not know that there is a chain of command?

Yea I don't think Garrus got what it takes to be second in command. He'd be my personal right hand man though (pause). Like Watson to my Sherlock Holmes. Although, I'm more of a Watson in personality and he's a bit like Holmes.

I can't help but think but think that Presley must be pretty pissed considering how much attention the XO got in ME1 compare to ME2

Because he constantly complains about being prevented from doing what he wants, and having to deal with Red Tape?

If anything Garrus would refuse to be 2nd in command, because then he would be forced to stay on the ship while shepard isn't there... Or am I getting 2ic confused with the XO

Actually Pressely was your XO in ME1... :P *dodges bullets* Well, at least as the 'official' XO...
Really, so long as I'm not required to drag Miranda along on missions I couldn't care less what position she holds on my ship.

If not a troll.

Did you even talk to him at all during Mass Effect?

Cerberus hands over their most advanced ship, no the galaxies most advanced ship and rebuilds you. You don't think they want to say in the way you conduct your business. It would be ridiculous not to have a Cerberus agent high up in the command chain.

You probably never talked to him, he is the very definition of a rogue agent. You need to constantly put him into his place and train him in proper Military command. He will thank you for that at the end :P.

It was her project that brought Shep back to life. She earned the position.

He complains about not being able to take down suspects because of people making idiotic decisions. His grievance is perfectly legitimate, especially considering those kinds of decisions allowed a sociopathic nutcase like Dr. Saleon run free.

Yeah, silly bimbo, resurrecting Shepard with science, medicine, and other witchcraft. Absolutely worthless.

He must have done a damn fine job to get to where he did in C-Sec, and a damn fine job before then to even get a position there in the first place. Meritocracy=you earn your position. Garrus earned his. Even Pallin, with whom he butted heads, acknowledged that. Garrus knows the chain of command. That's why he defers to you and Pallin.

And whining? Yeah, what a horrible thing to be frustrated with politics letting a cold-blooded monster go free. How dear he "whine." Because no one here has ever complained about anything...but at least when he "whined," it was to vent frustrations over injustices occurring due to a system broken in his eyes.
