Miranda is there to protect and ensure the interests of Cerberus, as the mission is being funded by them. You're the leader and she's essentially the supervisor.

She's the Charles Ofdensen of your Nathan Explosion.

Miranda = ranking Cerberus officer on the Normandy SR2.  Shephard owes Cerberus for his life.

They owe me more for being willing to save their hides. *shrug*

Ah, I wish I'd seen this post before responding to you. Now that I know you're a twit I can respond accordingly.

False, both because Shepherd does not owe anyone for the resurrection and because Shepherd isn't necessarily a "he".

Frankly I have a hard time gauging any of her qualities since the marketing has her aimed at the immature 12 year old demographic with her ******-stripping shots and all. We shall see in game.

Um, yeah, because who wants to have sex naked? That's just silly. My Shep's going to wear the bulkiest armor I can find, and **** in it, too! Damn the abrasions and damn the rashes!

How does Shepard owe Cerberus for reviving him? It was a service he neither expected or asked for. Cerberus did it fulfill their own needs and hopes, not as a favor.

It's the 4 billion dollar version of a homeless person washing your windshield at a stoplight and asking for a handout.

Except that the washing of your windshield doesn't cause you to stop being dead. Important distinction.

Wasn't directing that at you.  Just a general confusion over why anybody feels Shepard owes Cerberus anything more than a, "Thanks, buddy," for performing unsolicited services.

No, let's not be reasonable and agree to disagree just yet. LOL.

Explain to me how Shepherd owes anyone for being resurrected, when Shepherd never asked for it and certainly didn't desire it while dead.

You know, I just caught on that this was an anti-governmental argument. That's seriously entertaining. I applaud you.

Actually, it's an anti- people desecrating my remains, stuffing me full of metal and microchips, breaking legions of ethical, natural, and  Citadel-space laws, then especting me to do them a solid -argument.

Well, I never said Shepard owed Cerberus anything. But, given that even when playing Shep as self-interested as possible, the character is still truly selfless when the need arises, wouldn't such a person rather be alive so that they can continue doing the important things they do? Whether or not you "owe" somebody for anything is purely subjective. You can't quantify favors, and somebody can certainly feel they have no debts to pay no matter how often and how greatly they are aided. But, can you honestly say your Shepard would feel no gratitude to Cerberus for being resurrected, appraised of the situation, equipped and supplied, and given a brand new ship, all in order to deal with the Collector threat?

That would disappoint me greatly, Lucid, if that were the case.
