Also if anyone thinks I'm taking anything away from Heldarion, you're grossly mistaken, it's obviously an epic speed run. I'm merely challenging him (or anyone else who's up to it) to do something that I would find more impressive, even though it will take more time to complete

You would think I'm asking for the moon or something based on some of these responses. All I'm asking is for you to not turn the objective waves into a complete joke

I wouldnt bother with this if i were you. The first 18 or so pages consists of this argument. No one will ever see your point and its just like running around in a circle so just let it go.

We see the point, but consensus has been decided and it's a stupid point.

Thats a personal preference i can say the same thing about many points presented in this thread.

Do you know what consensus means? Consensus isn't a personal preference. Preference...wtf is that word even doing in that sentence?

Its not that no one understands the point you and others are making, its just that everyone else finds it far less relevant than you clearly do.

Would it be even more impressive if he had had devices/targets/devices or something for objectives? Sure. Would it have been even MORE impressive if he had done it with a volus packing the shuriken and sans any consumables? Well, yeah. What about if he had done it standing on his head with his eyes closed and a seeing-eye dog telling him where the enemies are? I'd say so! But again, so what

Alquinn, you're a freak.  Mad skill.  I don't like that you modded the objectives...but maybe it's because I'm a little jelly that I can't.

Seriously though, it doesn't detract from your gameplay.  Anyone who says otherwise is in denial.

LOL i know this isnt serious and its just a videogame but i think that if this was presented in a court infront of a judge and jury and they were to decide if something was right or wrong. We would be right. (adressing the arguments during the first 18 pages)  But since its not that serious and its just an argument of perspective we really cant say one is stupid and one isnt, one is right and one isnt. Because its all opinion at the end of the day. No one has a right or wrong opinion.

because I asked more nicely than you are rejecting it? I am honestly amazed at the hate I'm getting, simply by asking for a PC player to speed run with random objectives! The way the game was created to be played! The entitlement of this request is just too much! I can't even get a simple "no" or a "maybe"!

You act like this is the first ever PC speedrun. The game is nearly 2 years old, and it's been done to death. No one is going to go over old ground just for your sake.

QFT

If you're really interested in seeing random objectives check one of the many solos done before with random objectives.  There's no point in asking Heldarion to do it all over again.

On Topic, congrats Heldarion.  That is certainly faster than I thought the gold solo record would ever be pushed.

@Heldarion- I suspect you've done speedruns without modded objectives, right? If not, its a safe bet that some PC player has done it. I just don't see why it would make much of a difference.

A general agreement based upon multiple personal preferences on an opinion. So if i dont have the same opinion as everyone else its considered a stupid opinion?

Exactly. And that's IF he hasn't already done just that, which I would bet he has.

Xcal didn't mod his objectives when he did his 15(?) minute Proguard solo.

No. If your opinion doesn't make any sense, then it is considered a stupid opinion. Not making any sense AND not being the same as everyone elses makes it an unpopular stupid opinion.

I find people being so upset at Heldarion for essentially not wasting a ton of his time relying on RNG when going for a speed run to be quite ridiculous. If you don't like that you can't avoid time wasted by RNG on console then maybe you should embrace a platform that isn't so locked down.

Based on what grounds? Just because a group of people agree that something is stupid still doesnt make it stupid. If a person feels that changing the normal ingame coding is cheating how is that stupid? Im sure they have legit reason to feel that way and im sure they have plenty of reasons why they feel that way. Same goes for people who dont think its cheating they have thier reasons to why they feel that way. Either way both sides can feel that the other sides opinion is stupid. You cant go by a majority because alot of it can be just biased.

Xcal did 13:57 without modding objectives. Even if he modded them, he certainly didn't let anybody know about it and even if he did, I couldn't have cared less.

I did 14:44 without modding objectives. The stuff you don't see in there is hundreds of solos that ended prematurely when I rage quit retarded objectives.

On what grounds? What makes it stupid? How is it that your opinion is greater than mines? If i feel that changing the normal coding of the game is cheating then thats how i feel and its my pov. You have your own. I can easily say that your pov is stupid too.
