lol people are acting like Alquinn missile glitched this solo.

He just avoided hundreds of hours of RNG with the objectives, nothing more, nothing less from what I've watched. Why is this such an issue? I'm sure that if you went for the absolute fastest speedrun solo you wouldn't want to get hung up on sh*tty objectives. Hell, most of the console players I know quit the speedrun if they get anything other than pizzas or short escorts. So what difference does it make?

Honestly, tell me cause I can't be bothered to wade through 25+ pages of non stop bullsh*t,

I don't see the point of defending yourself to people when you "don't care what they think". Waste of time.

And boom, there you go, for a second time. Now maybe we can move on to more important concerns, like Miranda's butt.

I'm simply fascinated by the dynamic that topics such as this produce on internet forums. Two major factions duke it out refusing to give any ground, to the point that subconscious emotions get installed. I'm literally seeing an internet version of bloods and crips here

I made a simple request. I'm pretty sure I did not say anything offensive at any point. I don't think that, in a vacuum, any of my posts were even slightly agitating. But just because the topic has already been hammered to death, I've received the full force of the opposition. I've been called an idiot, stupid, entitled (lmao), and I'm sure if I felt like continuing this, that it would keep on coming

It took 3 pages to get this response, why? WHY?

It's just funny how society demands us to put on a face, be cordial and amicable when face to face. But on the vaunted internet, all of that disappears, and we get to see the true nature of humanity. That so many have taken the time to belittle my request and opinion, attack others here as well, what does it say? It says that these people have such a level of built up frustration and anger that they need to release it in some manner while simultaneously finding themselves in a group that accepts them for it. The mere perception that someone else's perception is "wrong" seems to trigger an extreme reaction that is far beyond the necessary response, which in this case would have been a "no," "maybe," or "we've had this argument many times before and it's never been resolved." The argument could have been over 3 pages ago if any of the above people had chosen this path instead.

Yes, I know, welcome to the internet. It's just strange and a little scary to see people governed by their emotions rather than simple, more optimal paths. Then you realize how messed up the rest of the world is, and well, its just a harsh truth to accept isn't it?

People gonna people.

On what grounds?

Common sense.

What makes it stupid?

Contradicting common sense.

How is it that your opinion is greater than mines?

See above.

If i feel that changing the normal coding of the game is cheating then thats how i feel and its my pov.

That's not the part that's stupid. The part that's stupid is saying that its the same level of cheating as, you know, real cheating (invincibility, missle glitch, etc.), or that it diminishes the accomplishment in any way.

You have your own. I can easily say that your pov is stupid too.

Sure, you could say that. You'd be mistaken, though.

I was saying they are alike on the fact that its something that was not intended for the game. I wasnt speaking on severity level of the cheat. Like 66666 builds and Missile glitching of course those are extreme cases and have alot of differences than changing the game coding. I specifically said they are alike in the sense that its a glitch that benefits the player and that its not how the game intended to be. Sure you could get 3 pizzas in a row randomly but what are the chances of that? Small. Thats why he had to change the games coding so that it can be all pizzas. If he codes the game to get pizzas all the time and just skip over the other objectives then i see that as cheating

But the entire point of him trying this is to optimize his gameplay under optimal circumstances. I get your point, I got it from the beginning, but you missed the entire context of this solo. If you had seen his earlier runs, you would know that he had pretty much trimmed a lot of the fat from this time. This is supposed to be what happens under obviously optimal conditions that are rare, but also conditions that someone would grind out to get until they got them.

LOL i know this isnt serious and its just a videogame but i think that if this was presented in a court infront of a judge and jury and they were to decide if something was right or wrong. We would be right. (adressing the arguments during the first 18 pages)  But since its not that serious and its just an argument of perspective we really cant say one is stupid and one isnt, one is right and one isnt. Because its all opinion at the end of the day. No one has a right or wrong opinion.

Seriously? WOW!

What if OP had 3 pizzas randomly and managed this? The whole point was that the mod was not game breaking since it was something that could have happened in a standard game. The purpose of the run was strictly to get the best time possible and in order for that to happen they would HAVE to get the perfect objectives. Rather than wasting days/weeks of their life on the off chance of getting lucky enough to get 3 pizzas, they made it happen so they didn't have to waste all of that time.

Everybody has agreed that it is "cheating" without it being cheating in the way that you put it. You compared it to GAME BREAKING cheats such as the missile glitch or giving yourself extra skill points, which I seriously hope you are just trolling about since they are not even close to being in the same category.

If you really want this to be like a trial, the majority of OP's peers (the jury) have spoken out in favor of OP (meaning not guilty), rather than you the defendant. Based on that, a judge would throw your case out the airlock and you still somehow couldn't comprehend the results.

I am sure you are in agreement that their have been people that have been let off the hook for murder, robberies, etc. due to a loophole and this is basically a loophole in the law.

What are the chances of that happening? Very Very slim.

Also i was speaking hypothetically and all of what you said would be based on whether a person would have a lawyer or not and how good their lawyer actually is.

Are you referring to the 3 pizzas or someone getting away with a crime? There are plenty of people that get away with crimes all the time...

As for the pizzas, it is a very slim chance. However, if the OP hadn't "convicted" themselves by openly admitting to modding the objectives then you would have ZERO evidence that they cheated, but I am sure you will still try to find something to belittle this run which there is no reason for.

By the way not everyone needs a lawyer in order to get away with a crime. All they have to do is cause doubt of their guilt to a jury and there is nothing the judge can do in that case.

Summary: Quit being so closed minded, it is not a good look.
