The defense of an unnamed choke point has begun!

No guns allowed, only tech powers permitted. Fire or ice shield upgrades are also permitted.

Who would ultimately win?

Well, if the Paladins are specked correctly and they use fire explosions combos ( I don't think the cryo explosions work on the husks ) , it's a easy victory for the Paladins.
But it all comes down to teamwork and how well they time their powers to creat tech explosions.
Or they can spam their snap freeze  ability  and drop husks instantly, not as fun as using explosions.

The N7. Husks are the full definition of fodder.

If the husks are ME1 husks that blow up on death and do massive damage then the husks win. Too bad the husks became so useless in ME 2 and 3.

Paladins, unless theycollapse out of exhaustion or somehow ran out of power/fuel, though that never happens in multiplayer.

Harbinger: It isn't wise to stand up to me. Imagine the horrible fate that awaits my enemies when I would gladly kill any of my own puppets for victory.

I always wondered why they take away that eletrical blast the husks were able to use...

Do you remember what playing against that was like? It was just an annoying insta-death slap.

Yeah, but with the way biotic and tech powers were changed in ME2/ME3 it wouldn't be that annoying to handle them.
Without that power husks are just cannon fodder especially in ME3.

When the husks are crowded up onto the phalanx, the word is given and everybody lashes out with their shields, instantly release "incinerate", and then immediately remake and rejoin their shields.

6 N7 Paladins could beat a million husks with no choke point. 3 could as well but could go down if someone made a mistake.

They represented the malevolence of the Reapers, their ingame ability reinforced it by making them a threat you were highly wary of. That's great game design right there.

Assuming every single shot hits and kills a husk, each N7 would have to carry 3334 heat clips. I am going with the husks.

Edit : This means that no two N7s also try shooting the same enemy.

The op is talking about the multiplayer kit rather than the gun.

1 human engineer using a combat drone and max chain overload could handle 1 trillion dumb husks

1 krogan warlord with fire effect on the electric hammer would win vs a quintillion husks

Because the fire hammer hits unlimited targets within a 5m radius

Yep. Tried and tested. Funny to see the Warlord getting mugged by a dozen husks though then proceeding to blast the husks away.
