As many of you know, if there is any kind of FemShep or voice actor thread started, I'm usually there trolling Meer fans about how he sounds like a 6th grader rehearsing a school play.

But after hearing the last 20 seconds of the release trailer just now, I'm going to have to officially apologize to Meer and his fans. That was an excellent bit of voiceover work. I could sense real passion, nuance, and depth of character.

If he delivers in the rest of the game like that trailer, I can finally do some male Sheperd playthroughs without getting bored

To me he sounds like he was reading it off a script, like he always does. If it's the same trailer I'm thinking of.

He's definitely a lot better this time around if the trailer is an indication. I can't wait to play through my male Sheps now.

EDIT2: Holy **** that trailer was another awesome one. Bioware knows how to make trailers.

that was a massive improvement over meer's ME1 work. hopefully he holds that quality for most of the game. he was just fine the first time for me, but im in the impossibly bias minority of people who actually have voices similar to meer and can relate to their sheps better because of it.

and hale did do a bit of overacting in ME1, but for the most part was spot-on, great as she is, she cant be oscar material all the time, sheesh.

I thought he sounded fine in the newest Gamespot vid, but then again his voice never bothered me in the first game anyways.

Of course.  You're only allowed an opinion if it agrees with The Angry One's.  If it doesn't, you're an evil troll/have no taste/are an idiot.  Didn't you know that?

I played through as both male and female shepard..yes Meer was bland (He seems to have improved for ME2) But I do think  Hale was overacting...she was trying to hard and it showed <_<

She had about I'd say 1/3rd more emotion than Meer in the original game, not sure how that constitutes overacting to such a degree...  Going from Wooden robot to slightly less wooden robot isn't really over acting.

Er, back on topic. Judging from the launch trailer, I'd say Meer has improved quite a bit, he sounds great.

Hehe, I liked em both, Peter Finch is great in Network, I can't imagine that movie without that scene, but really, that should be a model for all would be actors of how not to act in a play or movie,
