Anyway, what's this "Launch Trailer" I keep hearing about? No link I've tried takes me to anything with Mark Meer voicing Shepard in it. Several links just take me right to Gamespot's main page, which currently has no Mass Effect vids on it. Anybody have a direct link?

They were about the same to me the first time around.

Everyone always gushes about Hale and while I think she is indeed a good VA she wasn't that great, I thought she was almost indistinguishable from MaleShep. I don't think that's her or Meer's fault (I blame the direction).

I used to think Meer sucked and Hale was really the only one worth listening to, but after the launch trailer. Meer freaking owned, and I take back anything I said about him being suckish. At least for ME2. He was brilliant!

Not really, it'll be a debate based on taste.  Like all debates on taste it will generally degenerate into a flame war that exponentially increases in the severity of the hyperbole used.

Frankly, both Hale and Meer had good performances.  Both delivered some lines with monotony, Meer more frequency with monotony and Hale more frequency with overacting/overpronouncing (really BOLDING some words).

Both are likely to be much improved this time around.

I was going to jump in to defend Hale from you before I got to this very sensible post.

Admit it though, you where trying to pick a fight earlier in the thread.
