Not entirely. Only have one or two for the next game. The amount of turrets sequences in ME3 was overkill

As was the one in London.

Your OP's convinced me to agree. :P

Anyway, I don't really care either way. It's just a big gun that definitely had a reason to be used.

I kinda liked the one on Rannoch. But yeah, the London turret shouldn't have been there whatsoever.

yeah considering it was during the goodbyes too.

It was very out of place, i was somewhat confused as in why it was even there

Didn't mind it in ME3.

But I'd prefer it not to be used in that way again. If they give us turrets, I'd damn well want them to not act as an extension of a cinematic, but more be part of core gameplay. The turrets in ME3 felt more like testing for a game that isn't ME3 -_-.

To remind you of the fight.

It's up to you to keep shooting.

You can just not shoot at all, and the husks will enter.

And you see nothing bad happens.

Only time that happens with a turret in the game :)

you could have just place marines placed on the ridge shooting charging husks and had the same point shown, just without throwing the player into something like that at such a stupid time

I personally found it weird that our shuttle apparently came stocked with one despite us only using it once.

So ... you're trying to tell us that we should use it more often, thus having more turret sequences?

I'm saying they should rethink about where the right place to implement turrets will be if they're going to us them at all, which I'd hope would be sparingly as they're usually just level padding, though can be fun if done right.

The only ones I didn't like and found out of place was the one on Rannoch when chased by the Reaper and during the goodbyes, other then that I thought the other turret places where well placed and done

Do you guys think choices can be added to turret sequences?

Say you're on a turret in a overwatch position and below you to your left is a group of civilians cowering in terror and to the right is a gang of blood thirsty mercs and slavers sneaking up to them.

If you kill the gang and save the civilians, you get a treat and paragon points/reputation/charisma w/e; however, when you advance to the next area(we'll call it the colony), you'll encounter a whole lot of pissed off mercs and slavers armed to the teeth with heavy weapons fighting the civilians inside the colony(the civies will be your allies).

If you kill the civilians, the gang will open up on you and call in reinforcements including gunships and later in the colony you'll find pissed off civies with light weapons but powerful tech skills attacking you.

If you let the gang capture the civilians, they'll silently advance to the colony and later the colony will be completely clear but there won't be any loot left.

If you kill both, the colony will be utterly devastated in the aftermath of the fight between the two sides, with bodies everywhere plus the odd wounded survivor but all the loot will remain.

(I agree. I was being a turd.)

I thought they were okay, but they definitely could've done more with them. For example: the pyjak-shooting mini-game in ME2. Not necessarily the same type of thing, but at least something with the same amount of novelty.

The one on the truck-thing (Rannoch) was ok (rather shoot than drive), but I usually tried to avoid them like the plague.

As for the shuttle one....LOL guess they're not standard equipment for Cerberus shuttles.

Either get rid of them or rework them with fewer sequences. Most of the time I could have killed the enemies faster without the turret even on insanity.

I'd say ME3 has other things to rage more about, most turret sequences are ok, only the one on London feels odd. I liked the Rannoch Reaper shooting and the one on Thessia was nice, too.

Turret sections in games are often some of the most boring sections of those games, so yes. Cut them or make fewer of them.

They should make it meaningfull. The one at the FOB had a dire flaw... it was pointless, you couldn't loose and there was no objectives, noone would die if you ignored them completely they would just dissapear into some building.

It was utterly dissapointing. No explosive canisters to blow up either like in me1 and 2.

No. Everything gameplay mechanic-wise in ME3 needs to stay; they just need to add back in things from ME1 and ME2 that were removed.
