Sadly, I just accidentally poured coffee all over my laptop BUT, I'd like to add some active players to my Origin FL if anyone wants to add me. I'm going to start playing PC again in a few weeks. I am lazy about using a mic though because I like to listen to music while playing just an FYI. I can play Bronze, Silver and Gold but nooo Platinum yet unless I'm carried.

Sure, I will add you! As for carrying you on Platinum, I can do that on certain maps like Giant/ White/ Ghost. Or we could just make sure to get a full team, consisting of solid Platinum players. A duo might be a bad idea at the start, though I have done a few in the past.

My last duo didn't go too well versus Cerberus, but that was because of some bogus spawns. We did have good synergy between us, but sometimes the game just screws you like this. The match before that I had a great team of randoms, and I was doing great as the Talon Mercenary. It felt like one of the easiest Platinum games I've ever had, actually.

On the  "easy-mode" maps such as Giant/ White/ Ghost/ Vancouver I can do PUG Platinum games without having to worry too much. There are certain enemy/ map combinations that I avoid like the plague on Platinum, such as Geth or Collector/ Condor and Geth or Collector/ London. Those maps are just a nightmare. So if you' like to go Unknown/ Unknown on Platinum, I am not your guy

I know your pain. Getting geth/glacier hazard on my first attempt at U/U/P made me terrified of the notion of ever trying it again

Yeah some map/enemy combos can be pretty brutal even on gold! The few plats I have been taken to I was mostly carried, but not too badly as I still usually did about 50-70k points, but my guns just aren't high enough ranked to really feel confident in plats yet.

Giant is my favorite map for plats though. Pretty nice.

Currently making a last run through bronze for the heck of it, but my engineer class is at 20 and I can play them through silver or gold matches.

 I've made the step up to Sliver.  Can make it though a round without getting killed once, which I think for playing for about a week now is pretty good

That's probably one of the worst combinations to get the first time you do U/U/P, I still hate it after all these plat matches

Glacier hazard is no joy on any difficulty, especially when you get that bug that makes the swarm wander around invisibly. Suddenly your shields and health vanish for no reason.
