1) Bad console controls. Bad PC controls too, since there seems to be something "off" with aiming in this game compared to raw input aiming for CS/Quake even though I have mouse acceleration and mouse dampening off in coalesced. ...

That is certainly number one priority in single player as well as multiplayer. Controls should control IMO. It sucks to die during unstoppable relatively long animations while mashing buttons which have no effect. Controls become consistently not responsive not only during player animations but also during enemy animations which is ridiculous. A game like this must be more responsive/sensitive. I'm not talking thing like casting or reloading but about getting over cover, taking cover, or dodging. At least, if the character is immune to controls for some reason, he should also be immune to stunlock and damage shield-health gate override.

Also, I think, there is too much stunlocking. This is also true for DAO/DA2 but there it is possible to combat it by taking stamina. It might be good if taking fitness would reduce stunlocking. For example, a full fitness character above certain shield level (aka if you can get to 1000 with all gear bonuses) should not be stunned that frequently at least by melee. Or at least block repetitive stunning by granting some control-responsive stun immunity frames after a stun.

EA & Origin should be excluded, ofc better servers and game support, off host issues brought to a minimum ...

What would be the alternative? In general on PC, Origin is bad but at least it is running most of the time and is making an honest attempt to improve. They patch it and they try to improve it. If you compare it to Uplay or Steam, it is actually faster and less annoying. Steam is more stable though probably because they are on the market for a longer time and have more money. But sometimes lag in MP in Steam is way worse. That heartbeat feature of Origin is actually quite good. The issue is how they deal with disconnects and wasted credits/consumables.

When you sprint by a Banshee and it still picks you up ... The mysterious tanking of Phantoms, why do they go down so fast sometimes, then other times, you can unload power after power and clip after clip and it just tanks ....

Probably not that major, but when you're lagging in a game and you hit spec ops pack and it mysteriously consumes all of them at once, the ops pack shouldn't be usable if you're already full shields / health. that's just obvious , you'd think the same people that made the common sense decision that you can't use medi-gel unless you're downed, would've thought "Hmm, maybe we should make it so they can't use ops packs if they're full hp"

cause when you're lagging, and trying to get out of an area, you hit ops pack, and you'll use 2-3 instead of just one ..

If there's a reason for it i'd like to know, and I don't mean when their biotic bubbles are up, I just mean in general, they're almost unstoppable sometimes

Also I think sync kills are stupid a'f. enemies can still sync kill you at anytime, they should've made it so you can get sync killed at a low hp, something like a fatality kill

Only being able to play horde mode.

No PVP

Lottery style item store

No customizable map objectives

All maps encourage only 1 style of gameplay, run and gun.

These are things that should not be in the next mass effect game.

When they are flipping they gain significant DR. On host this doesn't wear off for hit scan weapons (probably a bug) unless they get ragdolled (or maybe staggered?). And of course combine that with the bubble you know about. Thats why projectile weapons deal with them so much better on host.

This whole thread is a mess. I don't even know where to start.

I guess i'll just answer the OP and say, why remove what you can improve?

2/ Aim assist  - theres nothing quite like zooming in on that swarmer instead of the Phantom

Yes, there are a lot of swarmers in the cerberus faction, aren't there? And there is maybe 1 wave of platinum where there are ravagers and phantoms in the same wave. You'll get aim assist in the next game, don't you worry yourself.

It was more of a general example... Not a specific whinge. So take the stick out of your a**.

Except for the fact that aim assist helps more than it hinders - it wouldn't be included otherwise, its just BSN clowns who are convinced they are l33t ecksbawkshers who claim otherwise... Forgetting of course, the fact that auto aim exists to sell copies and increase player retention. Most people are pretty bad at video games. Add in auto aim and al of a sudden you're a damn sight less bad, meaning you are more likely to keep playing a game.

Call of duty wouldn't sell millions of copies if it wasn't such a dumbed down, moron game with ridiculous amounts of aim assist... The simplicity and complete lack of any skill requirement encourages more people to keep playing it as the game has "safety nets" in place to ensure even awful players can perform above their skill level.

Perhaps you should try playing a PC shooter with a twin stick input device and see how pro you are when you don't have any friction, snapping for micro adjustments or any magnetic correction to aid you.

Auto aim will be included in console games until gamers on average stop being so terrible.

Having an option to turn it off wouldn't be that difficult to do would it? Keep everyone happy.

Would love it if eventually consolers and pc gamers could play together.

Would be a great idea, warframe tried this but too much of it is to do with xbox / sony politics than what would be cool.

Cross platform co-op seems sensible, but its the evil M and the demonic S who have the final say and it hasn't happened yet for warframe.

Will the steambox allow it? If they do others might eventually have no choice but to follow through themselves.

I think the steambox is trying to attract console players to steam. Valve want money. Valve want to grow larger than microsoft and sony, and the steambox is their way of appealing to console die hards. Sit on your couch, play PC games on a PC that's plugged into your TV using an OS that looks just like a console OS...

I suspect Valve might make it a "separate" platform, as the touch pad controller doesn't hold a candle to keyboard and mouse, and despite it being less of a problem for co-op / single player, allowing PvP between PC players and steambox users wouldn't end well.

So we would have xbox, playstation, PC and "steambox" is my guess. Valve entertained the idea of cross platform PvP for CS:GO and dropped the idea. I wonder why.

It does say though...

"According to Microsoft Studios boss Phil Spencer, allowing multiplayer between PC users and owners of the new Xbox One makes "a lot of sense"."

So the idea is still being looked at.

In cross platform PVP, PC will be capped at 22fps so that we can't aim either.

I hear what you're saying, Anno.  For some players, especially newer ones, it probably does help.  But as a console player, I hate it with a passion.  If I already have the reticule sitting right on a Phantom's head, why should it move to another enemy when I scope in?  It wouldn't be so bad if the alternative weren't a massive damage penalty for failing to scope your sniper rifle.  It just makes sniper rifles even more obsolete than Tac-Cloak related nerfs already did.  And if I can go without aim assist for all the other weapon classes, why should I need it for sniper rifles.

PC players always seem to think console players benefit from aim assist.  But if you ask any experienced console player, we typically hate it with a passion.  And believe me, it's not because I think I'm l337.  I just want to be able to quick scope without having to re-aim every time.

Still, I'm sure you're correct that we'll see it again in MENext.

The thing about the console aim assist is that they broke two specific parts of it back in ME2 and kept those broken bits in ME3. It was functionally different in ME1. There are threads on the ME2 forums talking about this where the math nerds were able to confirm this. Specifically the zoom snap was borked (and one other of the five basic types but I forget which one).
