Question about ME2 save importing

I have done a playthrough of ME2 that I started from an ME1 import (doing my first complete trilogy play-through on PS3). Since I started from level 5 and done all loyalty missions + Shadow broker DLC, I got to level 30 before doing the IFF (derelict reaper) mission, so I saw no need to do all the N7 side-missions -- figured they would not have any effect on ME3.

Then I read on the wiki, that my import into ME3 would carry over all my credits (in addition to my level), so now I think it would have been better to do all the side missions to get more money. I know I can play on after the suicide mission is done in ME2 and do the missed side-missions, BUT I am guessing the import would take the state as I completed the suicide mission and ignore any credits collected afterwards.

So I am wondering if there is any way to get post-suicide mission results (credits and Arrivial completion) to be taken into account in an ME3 import ?

I do have a save before the IFF mission, so I could load up that and do all side missions and then redo the IFF+Legion-loyalty+Suicide missions as a work-around, but if there is an easier way (not involving the redo of those missions), then that would be better.

So any suggestions ?

Well, you are already level 30 so that's as high as you go. As far as credits, I am fairly sure its just a bonus if you are "rich". So if you have a lot of credits already chances are you will already get the bonus too. I am sure you could look up on the wiki what those thresholds might be.

Personally, I can't imagine ending a game without completing everything first, but that's just my own little issue.

Now, its been a really long time since I imported a save into Mass Effect 3 (I am pretty sure that Mass Effect 2 had a credit bonus if you imported a save), but I am pretty sure credits only import when you are starting a New Game+ from Mass Effect 3. I don't have a save where I haven't completed everything before hand because I have a problem, but I don't think it would matter if you do it before or after the suicide mission, for it imports the most recent information.

The easiest way to test this I would think is to import a save where you have completed Arrival after the suicide mission and see if the opening changes between the outcome of Shepard destroying the relay or the Marine's.

I completed Arrival then tested the import function in ME3. It gives the choice to pick any of the saves made after the completion of the suicide mission, so no need to redo anything, I can complete other missions and then load up the latest version.

I had played through ME3 already from scratch before (not importing ME2 save) and that way the opening made sense with Anderson telling me to go to the Citadel to ask for help as a Spectre.

However, this time in my import, I finished ME1 letting the Council die and then selecting Anderson to lead the new Council. In ME2 he was indeed, the Council leader, so now it does not make any sense at all that he is telling me to ask the Council for support -- for God's sake, he is the leader of the Council! It's like telling me to ask him for support...

Oh yeah, I forgot that my decisions aren't supposed to matter! That was just market-speak...

Anderson is not on the Council in ME3. He steps down to return to the military before ME3 takes place.
